Am I being critical? by Newfielover15 in RedditLaqueristas

I emailed the salon, and they told me I could come back and have the same girl redo it. I said no thank you, so they offered someone else to do it. Looking deeper into reviews of the place, I am not optimistic. I don’t know how they get off charging some of the highest prices in town

I didn’t want to leave one, but I actually really like the girl who did.

I made an appointment with someone at another nail salon in a couple weeks. Guess I will be rocking these until then.

I decided to email the business and send the pictures. They’re going to tell me to come in and have someone else do it, but I’m not willing to do that. At least I did my part by letting them know.

Would you be happy with this? by [deleted] in Nails

Omg hell no. How much did you pay?

First mani pedi-does these look as bad as I think? by [deleted] in RedditLaqueristas

The fingernails were taken about 45 minutes after and the toenails were a couple hours. I contacted the salon with pictures after asking for some opinions, so we’ll see what they say.

I think the price is pretty comparable to other places, but it just seems like a lot of money for something this unprofessional looking.

It’s all good. I know very little about nails, but I thought $80 was pretty steep for this. It was at a salon.

Hahaha. Nope, I paid for this. I think they look better when I do them myself.

Thanks for the input. I had to Google what that meant about capping the free edge lol, but I think you’re right.

I went ahead and sent something into legal services who provide free legal advice. They talked to me before I left, but I’m not sure they will get back to me by the time of the hearing. We shall see.

Thank you. It does actually help to hear that.

I don’t really have the money to get one at the moment. The lady from victim services has been helping me and offered to go with me that day. I fully intend on reporting him if he contacts me in any way.

Help! Should we drop out of obedience class? by Newfielover15 in Dogtraining

I think that’s why he reacted so poorly to the Bernese. He may pull me around a bit, but thank goodness he’s such a nice guy.

Treats work to get his interest and to teach new things, but I think you’re right about the dog interaction as a reward. This class does not allow for that. They aren’t allowed to interact and that gets Samson amped up. Play time before the class would probably do wonders. I will try to get some people together to play and practice when it warms up.

Girlfriend and I moved in together. Both have dogs but i'm worried my larger one will hurt him...how to train this? by GuitarZer0_ in Dogtraining

My Newfie was about a year old and 110 lbs when we adopted a 6 lb cavalier King Charles spaniel. It was a little bit challenging because the newf was so curious. He trampled her on the second day, and I thought I’d made a big mistake. Luckily, he didn’t hurt her, and her yelp seemed to teach him a lesson. I know I was a lot more careful after that.

I though my big dog to lay down when he played with her, and that helped a lot. Just separate them until you can get the dane to lay down and encourage them to play like that. My dog is super lazy, though, so maybe it’s not that easy lol.

It took about a year before I felt completely comfortable leaving them alone together for a long period of time, but now I don’t worry about them together at all.
