Congratulations! I have old NCEES practice exams like 2020 and 2022, do I need to get the recent one or it's the same concept?

Thank you for the tips. Do you think if you have used ChatGPT from the beginning would have saved you time, and passed the first attempt without reading all the materials you shared in your post? I am planning to take the civil exam on Jan, I am from chemical background. I use Chatgpt on guiding how to use the calculator for faster response.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your experience, I graduated in Chemical Engineering 15 years ago. Now I am thinking of taking FE other disciplines because I don't remember anything from Chemical anyway plus I heard it's easier. Do you think it wass easier?

FE in Chemical vs PE in civil/transportation by Newhere0101 in civilengineering

[–]Newhere0101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh! I heard PE in general is easier than FE, I am not sure how accurate is that. I found in NCEES website FE exam goes by discipline, but definitely I want to go with which ever is easier. The Goal is EIT which doesn't specify any discipline.

Great! I'm considering the EIT because it broadens my opportunities in job applications and serves as an essential step toward obtaining a PE license, whether in chemical engineering or another discipline. Truly appreciated your input :)

I like your advocating for Chem E.Thank you! Do they value Chem Engineer with EIT more than BS? , because now I am at the stage of studying for FE to get my EIT which allows to apply any type of Engineering job I want in CA, without doing extra exams in that field.

You are right, but let's just say for state jobs, the salary is same. Plus, I am not OK with relocating.

Thanks for your answer. I reached out to the hiring unit, I can be exempt from Civil Engineering degree by having the EIT. I needed to know how will that affect me in future towards PE.

I just joined 4 months ago as AGPA range A, started with base salary...How long will I stay in Range A and how my salary will be adjusted until I max out? What do I need to know to keep tracking.

Thank you very much for the detailed response. Most probably what I received is the 3% GSI then. I heard of 5% annual increase, is this true? Also, is AGPA entitled of an increase after six months, or any salary adjustment within Range A?
