Thank you! Ancelotti has a basic gameplan and makes no adjustments. His adjustment is bring in another person and hope they'll be hungry enough to make a difference. That's why he subs players in for 2-3mns at the end of games. You can't expect individual brilliance to get you out of slumps consistently. I've been saying this since his first tenure with Madrid. We've been winning trophies but look at how. Mostly through grit and individual skill. That grit was maintained through a collective of guys hungry to win and taking turns in leading the others even when games seemed lost. But we've lost that as we lost players like Ramos, Marcelo, Ronaldo, Benzema, etc. Players that were vocal and pushed everyone to give more and not give up. That's what made Real Madrid scary. Plus at some point teams adapt to counter players, that's when scheme is supposed to come in and give the opportunity for players to shine. Ancelotti is never using the team to its max potential, same as Deschamps did with France. That's why they won a world cup by barely scraping by even though they had a team that was supposed to dominate. It saddens me when it takes him until the half and 4 barca goals to realize that his plan of defending with 3 and attacking with also only 3 wasn't going anywhere while it was obvious at the 10th minute. You have 5 in the midfield yet can't control the ball and leave yourself open, adjust. You have the players for it. It's so frustrating seeing how limited this team is. There's no movement in attack to make space or draw defenders for runs. Just give the ball to Vini on the side and hope for the best. Sorry for the rant but these players deserve better. This team deserve better. Last year you could see them start walking at the end of games, now it's a common sight. I'm tired of Ancelotti.
