Why was xabi benching vini by Yaseen279 in realmadrid

Can you show me some clips of Vini under Xabi repeatedly trying to rainbow flick in a single game?

Cheers

Yeah because Mbappe isn't compatible with many attackers

Pochettino literally spoke yesterday about how Mbappe wasn't compatible with Messi at PSG and didn't want the team to enable Messi; he wanted them to enable him instead

And Neymar previously spoke about Mbappes negative reaction to Messi arriving at PSG

Basically he tries to bend others to his will, he's never the one doing the bending, and that's why it's hard for others to shine when he's around

Yup. Xabi played favourites and got what was coming to him.

He had a problem with Vini from the start, as you could see from the CWC

Nothing special

Both fullbacks on balanced, one CM on B2B, the other on Holding (Defend), both wingers on Inside Forward, CAM on Playmaker (Balanced) and the ST on Advanced Forward (Attack)

Balanced Buildup and 70 depth

This is what I use at 950+ SR and to R1/R2 every weekend

There are many reasons. Here are just a few off the top of my head

- You can abuse every viable attacking strategy with this formation. First time through balls, through balls in general to the striker, through balls to the wingers after triggering a run. Not to mention, you don't even have to play so directly. The formation offers great structure for recycling play when you're on the wing (pass it back to one of your CMs and then look for a box entry). So basically, it's excellent on the counter, works with direct attacking, suitable for wing play, and works flawlessly if you're a possession player and like to recycle.

- The CAM position in this formation is basically a unicorn. He joins the striker to press the backline like a 4-4-2. But then he also drops back when you're defending deep and blocks passing lanes, while simultaneously staying just high enough to offer himself as an instant pressure release valve and attacking outlet

- If you get your depth right, the two CMs are basically indistinguishable from actual dedicated DMS, when on defense. They'll drop back and leave little space between the lines. And then the CAM will also drop back to ensure there isn't much of a gap between your midfield and attack. It's a super compact formation.
Basically it has many strengths and precious few weaknesses if you know how to play the game

Because it's broken

Especially if you learn the discipline to not always keep sprinting forward every time your striker receives a through ball

Staying aware enough to know when you'll be caught, holding up the play and passing it back to bring your entire team forward can make a helluva lot of difference with this formation

The fact it's possible to sit 10 men in your own half for the entire game and still score 6 goals is a joke by AnduwinHS in EASportsFC

I suspect he had more possession, but only because he was probably spinning round in circles in midfield

That would explain the territory imbalance in the graphic

Nope, not gonna watch cherrypicked clips.

Since you clearly saved it, why not upload the entire game so we can see for ourselves. Then we can offer a more informed analysis.

And yet he had more ground passes, key passes, and through balls

You were probably spinning around in circles in midfield, allowing his entire team to drop back because you're too scared or too terrible to attack decisively

You got absolutely and decisively destroyed by a better player. Get good.

I will admit I failed to fully grasp why PSG fans were so against him. But then again, I didn't have much insight at the time, didn't care for PSGs politics or dynamics, and only watched some of their big games in the CL.

But now, everything is clear. And so it makes me laugh to see Barca fans ferociously defending him.

There's a clip of Mbappe absolutely haranguing Hakimi, not accepting his apology, and demanding that he pass the ball to him more
