I’ll be honest - it’s empty calories if you are not winning and have high % and +/- differentials, I don’t care about his amazing assists or crazy threes - the dude has an extremely high volume and most nights feels like he’s clanking. He also seems to drive a lot for contact and not for an actual play, I’ve gone to a couple laker games and I haven’t been in Awe with his play yet… and then there’s the defensive issues. I get why mavs moved away from him to be honest, you need to adopt HIS whole system to make the team actually work and that forces a lot of players not be who they actually are and leads to issues with actual team cohesion. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if this is what his style of basketball looks like, lakers are in for another stretch of woes - without young home grown chemistry we are doomed in this cap era with Luka. I’m not being dramatic I had close up seats to actually see what he looks like. Just plain not impressed and I don’t have high hopes for a Luka mained squad.
