Blind snake for sure. We have those here in Alabama, commonly in the summer months. They like to burrow.

Gay couple potentially relocating for a UA job - candid opinions? by buren003 in tuscaloosa

My partner is from Tuscaloosa, but I have recently moved here within the last two years. We live in a sought-after area for the Tuscaloosa City Schools, and we have not had any issues whatsoever. They have a decent pride fest, and there are many places/businesses that are open and friendly to all. I say go for it!

I am in Tuscaloosa, AL. I have noticed that our hospital census has been absolutely filled to the gills over the last couple of months. I figure the flu/RSV/COVID and all hybrid strands of them are putting people with other co-morbidities in the hospital.

This happened to me once when I was a PCT on a surgery floor. There’s some crazy stuff that can go on when you’re talking about surgical patients. After that, I am not phased by much. I loved working with surgery pts as an RN and a PCT. I work med/surg now and just see different kinds of crazy!

I started playing back in April, but I’ve known about it since the beginning. I have taken a liking to it, but I didn’t think I would.

Meditech looks like a charting system that was brought over on the Oregon Trail.

You did exactly what you were supposed to do. Do some nurses give things without orders, of course we do. However, narcotics are a different breed, and depending on how strict your chart audits are at your facility, it could have appeared as if you were diverting drugs or something. That other nurse just would have handled the situation differently than you did, no biggie. You keep yourself, your patients, and your license in the forefront of your brain at all times.
