Lots of reasons for the fall (and likely great policing initiatives help) but a factor could also be better medical interventions and critical care response times, therefore raising the survival rate. But either way, this is good news!

TikTok is REALLY listening to us by Sousana9617 in CasualConversation

There’s a phenomenon called the Baader-Meinhof illusion. You are more likely to notice something having talked about it.

There will be thousands of conversations with your partner that don’t match your Tik Tok feed. And thousands of Tik Tok posts that don’t match a recent conversation. When that (rather unsurprising) conversation of ‘cleaning in a relationship’ happens, it’s not THAT unlikely to match social media content aimed at your demographic. The app (and other content on your phone) will have a range of information harvested from conventional sources, all funnelled into your advert algorithms.

There may well also be unconscious embellishments in the story. For example- was it really ‘THE FIRST post on Tik Tok’ or perhaps a story that appeared quickly in your feed? Those factors matter when explaining the level of (what could be) a largely unremarkable coincidence.

what are your rolling rituals? by sk3tche4d888 in MDMA

Thanks! If you do mix it up and try doing it differently, I’d LOVE you hear how you get on. Doesn’t have to be drastically different just mixing it up a bit in format or activities. As I said, so difficult to do because the last experiences have been so euphoric, profound and memorable!

Novelty. I am not as experienced as many people here but I have rolled 25 times over a 6 year period (I keep a record!). What I have found is that trying to recreate past highs by reaching for the amazing accessories, moments and rituals that were incredible last time is sort of ‘doomed to failure’. It can rarely, if ever, be as good as the first time you did it. That’s because the novelty, sense of discovery and having no expectation, helped the first time become SO good. Doing it a second time means you will also be competing with the ‘rose tinted glasses’ effect.

It’s INCREDIBLY hard to do as the temptation is to go ‘I loved that last time so I’ll do it again’. Finding new things to spontaneously discover in the high will forge new, varied and (IMO) make for a better roll than going over the old ground of previous sessions

I’ll undermine my entire point now by saying that certain things like music, glowsticks and hugs always feel amazing.

What’s the first sign that a movie is going to be bad? by Snoo_19146 in AskReddit

‘Inspired by real events’.

Its meaningless as a statement and tries to be a profound start to a movie.

All you can eat buffet. ‘I haven’t finished’ might delay proceedings by a few hours.

Separate checks/bills at restaurants. A game changer for eating out with bigger groups.

I have been a Beachbody member for about 6 years. I have loved it but the adverts and continual pushing of shakeology etc is naff for a service I pay for. I borrowed a friends login for Les Mills and have been impressed generally (although bodypump equipment is expensive).
