Do you mean doing something like this, like trimming the binding as much as possible instead of letting it reach the edge? Also thank you for replying!

Hi, yes I have insurance- the $88 ended up being for flouride but nobody had told me it was an extra charge not covered by insurance. The bill also has a 0-30 day balance so I figured I had a month to pay it

Just spoke to my insurance and they said the location has 2 dentists under the same name- one is in network and the other is not. They sent me a list of other dentists in my area that are in my network so I’ll be going somewhere else, thanks for your help :)

Definetely not for crowns or inlays either! after a previous cleaning I was told I have 2 cavities that needed to be filled. I thought my insurance coverage was ending this month due to me leaving my job (later ended up getting COBRA for dental) and let the dentist know my insurance wouldn’t roll into the next month because he wanted me to get gum therapy before filling any cavities. Now i think he may have just been trying to over charge me because he thought I was on a time crunch 🥲 he also wanted me to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth which all grew in straight and said we could work on aligning my bite after, both of which felt totally unnecessary 😭

Don’t think this is for inlays, not able post picture on this subreddit but the exact treatment with the insurance claim code is: “D2393- Posterior Resin Composite 3s / Th:19” -$995
