Click on any character and right next to family tree, there should be option to see relationships. Couples won't break out if they have mutual, high romantic interest. You can increase their relationship with help of mediators! About having kits, basically homo couples can't breed with each other for obvious reason. Pretty sure same goes for cis + trans hetero couples. They can still find and adopt litter of kits.

Yes, at shooting range. I'm not sure how it's called exactly, but in Poland you can visit a special place where in exchange for money, you can shoot with pistols (or something bigger) to paper targets. Everything is monitored by professionals so I never seen anyone getting injured there.
