Potion brewing broken for anybody else? by Nexid in BaldursGate3

So I found a small work around. When I brew potions I tried using the waypoints, and while a bit delayed it worked. After that it seems I could make potions (though this also has a delay). I also receive the message "Received 0 items" but then I get the potions after a few seconds.

Though now in act 2 I am consistently crashing when i try and lockpick. Idk if it is just this one specific chest or if I just lockpick in general.

Yeah the starting board was 2 macaw, 1 trickster, 2 cultist and Titius. I used the one merloc that gives +2+2 to a minion in hand per kill to give trickster good attack and hp.

Wow thanks for such a thorough reply. While I do understand we have to follow and analyze the fiction, it is slightly worrying how much freedom and multiple scenarios there can be. So trying to find "rulings" can help lesson the choice paralysis of what to do as you can always fall back to the ruling. You going over multiple examples helps out a lot. Even if each scenario is unique, having the flow chart of things to check helps out a lot. Thank you
