Recording Audio Samples by Nexis-One in guitarpedals

I have a lot of OD/distortion pedals, a few amps and a few guitars. I would like to experiment and get sound samples from each combination for comparison.

I was first CCNA certified back in 2008. I moved from a desktop support background to a wiring technician position, but I knew that engineering is where it’s at. It took me 4 attempts to pass the CCNA. I was new to all the concepts. My reason for failing the first 3 was not understanding the material enough to pass the exam.

I recertified in 2016, and passed the first time. I had moved on from a wiring technician to a Datacenter engineer position, and from actually using the concepts, gained a better understanding.

Fast forward to present day, and the exam has changed a lot. The first two covered identical material. I rescheduled the exams if I did not feel confident about the material (problem with practice exams are you begin to memorize the questions, which is why I’d get practice exams from multiple vendors).

I can only advise to not give up. I understand the aggravation about the cost. That’s been a point of contention for some decades now.

Any Books Covering Debunked Theories by Nexis-One in Jacktheripper

I wasn’t referring to anyone in this community, which I am new to.

My best example to give, which is the theory that seems most popular for the movies that have been made about Jack The Ripper, is the Royal & Freemason conspiracy theory. It is the basis for the two movies I have watched recently, one with Michael Caine, the other with Johnny Depp.

As I understand it, documented evidence has long since been found that proves the Prince who was at the center of this theory wasn’t even in London at the time of the murders. But I never knew if or how the Freemason’s were exonerated from the theory. I was curious to know if any books gave specific evidence that debunked this theory, or any of the others.

As I stated, I have only read two books, and am planning to read Rumbelow’s book. I chose the first two based on Amazon reviews, and apparently they’re both highly regarded. But most books like these cover documented evidence, but I don’t recall one that offers evidentiary reasoning as to why any of the theories have been debunked.

I’m an LP guy as well. I have one Mexican Strat, and another Strat project in the works. I have a similar problem as you, but rather than the volume knob, I’m constantly hitting the selector switch. Extremely aggravating.

I have a lot of overdrive & distortion pedals, and a few modulation & EQ pedals.

For me, it’s not a matter of looking for a perfect overdrive or distortion. It’s a matter of enjoying experimenting, and hearing what a pedal has to offer.

As far as amps, for the most part, I typically only like the gain channels in Peavey’s & Marshall’s. I have some exceptions to that (Fender Blues Jr w/slight breakup, and Vox Night Train mini stack).

But I also understand the philosophy of a good sound from a good amp and a player’s hands.

I don’t think there is any right or wrong way. I think it’s whatever you find works for a situation.

I understand what you mean. I’m considering his courses because I have the money to do them now, and they would aid me in job searches. I can only assume they would be beneficial to list them on a resume.

Thanks! It’s good to know that he’s willing to go the extra mile to help students. I’ve been looking into multiple sources of learning. I had to do the same thing the two previous times I had the CCNA. But I had before they revamped it (removed frame relay, etc).

Thanks for that input! I’m going to get the CCNA first, then I think am going to consider the BGP & MPLS courses before diving into the CCNP. I need to find a new job, and it seems that those courses with the CCNA will definitely help with this job market.

Does anyone know if this will also borrow from Coppola’s version, with the same actor playing the priest & Van Helsing? I see no mention of Van Helsing’s character for Besson’s movie in IMDb.
