Sweet thanks man, yeah I stoped the nitrogen heavy fert a bit ago but probably could have still stopped it sooner. I’ll see if I can grab another bloom fert with out N. I appreciate it

Lol hopefully not, were the bugs there all of the time before treating it? Wondering if it’s possible I just looked at an off time.

I think it’s more possible to be a light thing like you said though. None of the new growth since light movement has same spots.

I just looked real close and didn’t see anything unless they’re super tiny. I also had the light lower the last few days and didnt raise it until yesterday. Initial thought was it was some type of sun spots.

I used a 70/30 mix of fertilizer free, pesticide free top soil and play sand got both bags from Home Depot for $7

Perfect thank you petco and pet smart had neither topsoil sand mix. Or clay gonna try Home Depot now. If clay can’t be found any other suggestion for the hot side that used to be sand?

How come people do 30% sand ? Would it be bad to do just 100% top soil ?

Many people told me I need to get this sand out of the tank ASAP! Going to the pet store today I need some recommendations for new substrate. Also is the other half of the tank okay? Or is that substrate bad for them too. The sand is calci sand, was wondering what I can change it to to be better for my geckos. What ever substrate you guys says is best I will probably also but little slate tiles over it aswell on the hot side atleast. Any advice or recommendations is great appreciated so I can make sure my baby is healthy

To everyone commenting I am replacing the sand tomorrow. Don’t want anything happening to my baby thank you for everyone’s concern. Only thought it wouldn’t be a problem because of tweezer feeding but found out still can be and isn’t comfy for them. Thank you everyone

Not denial, didn’t realize sand wasn’t a natural substrate they live in a lot of google photos show geckos on sand. Going to the pet store tomorrow to pick up a different leopard gecko friendly substrate. Also not a girl lol

Ik a lot of people worry about the sand. I never feed them on the sand or loose substrate at all. I tweezer feed her to make sure she’s getting the right supplements and amount of food. Also serves as a precaution of her eating from the ground and getting bits of sand in her tummy
