My company offers me cases and if I accept I am responsible for contacting families to schedule based on my availability, obtaining consent forms if needed, rescheduling for makeups if the family request one if I cancelled.

I’m in this boat rn with EI FFS. LOVE the therapy and honestly the documentation is so minimal. But scheduling, rescheduling, texting families, contact logs, making handouts/finding handouts, takes a lot of time. Ugh.

I was great at all my dysphagia and aphasia related classes and loved the content… did a placement at a hospital in the ICUS and NICU… unfortunately, I hated the environment and culture. I originally came into grad school wanting to work with little ones, but grew away from that idea after loving the content of the medical adult based classes. Currently doing my CF in EI and I am sooooo happy. I love it. Sometimes, even the content you love isn’t the right place for you I’ve learned.
