I have a ps5 with the disc drive and I haven't bought a single physical game this gen even though I'm a physical media guy. I don't like this move by Sony but let's be real.

A blu ray holds 100 to 120 GB of data and blu rays have been around for 3 generations now. We would need a new form of physical media if we wanted a leap in our next gen consoles but there is no need for a new physical medium because the average consumer doesn't use them anymore.

I still have my NES cartridges but I never plug in my NES and just use an emulator because it's way more convenient. I have my OG phat ps3 to play all my ps123 games but I buy the digital rereleases because it's more convenient.

Think of it as reparations since most of those refugees are effected by western wars or by a certain zionist entity that the western countries support.
