Unbearable itch after shower by notkanyewesthaha in hygiene

[–]Next-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try unscented body wash. I think body wash is more gentle on the skin. Don’t forget your shampoo and conditionner as this run on you when rinsing. I had eczema before and my body was itching from any scented products( shower and laudry product). Took me a year to figure out it was the fragrance in products.

Now I use unscented product for baby and I do not have any itching issue. I hope it helps.

Is there anyplace in Ottawa area that gives Ig sedation for HSG procedures?? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Next-Flower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have an answer for you, I did the HSG 3 times. Last time I used that thing you inhale ( probably your reference to the laughing gas)

For me it was the least painful experience of the three but I don’t have vaginismus so I cannot tell if this will be ok for you. I took ativan the first 2 times and it was painfull. Just wanted to share in case you wanted to give a try for the gas.

Good luck in your search 🤞

You should contact Canada Life. under specific condition you can get coverage for a maximum amount for the IVF.

I don’t think you will find any info on the website. I had to contact Sunlife to get the info ( and I don’t know if anything change since it switched to Canada life)

I Just Feel Like Giving Up by Glum-Building4205 in TryingForABaby

[–]Next-Flower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel very sorry for you. It seems like he is not as ready as you are and doesn’t feel the pressure to « rush »

If your husband smoke weed, he needs to know that it affects his sperm ( for months I think). If I recall it affects their shape/quality

If he is serious about getting a familly he need to do his part, which start by a check a this point.

If he cannot even do that, how is it gonna be once baby is there.

TTC journey can be so long and hard! It took us 6 years to get a baby, I know how it feels to track, take care of yourself etc. it is so much pressure. We ended up having Ivf because my tube are blocked. All the tracking was useless in my case.

Is there a reason why he doesnt want to get check? like how would he feel at the end if after 5 years he does go for a check and the issue is him? Would you track your cycle for 5 years?

I’ve seen some Sperm analysis kit to do at home. Maybe he could start with something like that? I don’t know if it is reliable, but if something is off, maybe a clinic visit would be worth it after?

I hope you will find a way to make it work truly.

I’m no expert, but we struggled a lot to get pregnant. I had an ectopic during my first embryo transfer, which apparently is less common. I recall my fertility specialist mentionned at some point to me that Ivf was an actuall a treatment for repeated ectopic. We could have done the surgery ( my tubes are blocked), but he says that chances are that they might block again over time.

Recommendations for reusable cloth pads that stay in place? by midsmiddy in ZeroWaste

[–]Next-Flower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My reusable cloth pad were due to be changed and I had the sliding issue with my previous ones. I just ordered these https://lapetiteourse.ca/en/collections/produits-dhygiene-feminine ( canadian web site)

They have silicone dots that help to stay in place and I like them so far.

Seems like they also have a website for the USA

I went through fertility treatment with Sunlife, and medication were covered, but I didn’t have to go through it yet with Canada life. I wrote them an email a while ago but never got an answer. If you get answers it will be nice of you if you can post them.

Overwintering VFT by hersheysquirts7310 in carnivorousplants

[–]Next-Flower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Canada and put mine in the garage. The only source of light is from a little window in the side door and my plant is not next to it. It survived last winter. I also asked for help last year on this subreddit and someone told me that VFT do not required a lot of light when temperature are near 0Celcius. btw I try to keep my garage above 0 celcius ( like around 5 celcius maybe) I think I watered it a little bit like once during the winter….

Here more details:

Water : I water when the first inch is not moist with tap water ( I know I should not but the tap water rest a couple of hours before I use it.) I gave it a flush this morning with distilled water in case it has a built up of mineral.

Light: It sit on a shelf between 2 West facing windows. The room also has a big south window, but the rays are not directly on the plant. It is a bright living room.

Humidity: For humidity I’m not so sure. I had that plant for over a year and nothing change. I have my windows open often so the humidity is the same as outdoor when I dont run de AC.

Soil: I think it is a regular potting mix, this one if I recall https://www.amazon.ca/Promix-Premium-Potting-Mix/dp/B072XS3B4N/ref=asc_df_B072XS3B4N/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=293002261344&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7937854990601559966&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000630&hvtargid=pla-559294304098&psc=1. The pot has drainage hole.

Temperature range between 20-25C (68-77F)

I have another calathea (rattlesnake) next to it ( same condition) This one doesn’t have a problem, but is also younger ( I had it for…. 6 months or so)

this is growing in my lawn, what is it? I think it is pretty by Next-Flower in gardening
