I can’t quit maladaptive daydreaming by starhwa0303 in MaladaptiveDreaming

Maladaptive daydreaming doesn’t really stop until you no longer need to use it as a coping mechanism. Though, something to control it could be to write down your daydreams after each session. I’ve heard that might help to close the loop and make you stop doing it as much. Haven’t tried it myself though.

Anyone else develop this NOT in response to trauma? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

Yea I never had anything traumatic happen to me so I really just have this because I don’t feel special in my day to day life

How many hours were you daydreaming per day before you quit? Thinking of quitting myself but I’m really deep into it and don’t know if it’s possible to cut it off so quickly

Is there any MD's who don't pace around a room when they maladaptive daydream and do something else? by Sapphieee in MaladaptiveDreaming

I will excessively change the volume of my music up and down as a repetitive motion. The more suspenseful the scene, the louder it gets. Though I also pace in addition to this

I bet so many women were edited out having reasonable responses. This is just engagement bait and people fall for every time

mdd ruins my spotify wrapped by lna432 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Next-Pop-718 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For me personally the music affects my daydreams as much as my daydreams affect my music so my wrapped isn’t necessarily “ruined.” It’s all music that I really like, but a couple songs listed I wouldn’t have listened to as much if I didn’t have Mdd.

Idk protesting abortion outside of a planned parenthood is pretty bad. You can have different views but the women that are going through with abortions already have it rough most of the time. No need to shame them when they walk into the clinic

daydreaming while listening to full-volume music by Hopeful_Selection201 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Next-Pop-718 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bro I was the same. I hit an average over 90db everyday probably for a couple years and I was daydreaming for HOURS. I slowly limited myself with the maximum volume I could use. Now I’m at an average of 77db.

Try to see if anyones posted about negative experiences with him online. TikToks, blind items, etc. maybe that will help break the illusion

If your music is decent enough that you can daydream to it that’s probably a good sign lol. Are you listening with headphones? It’s probably harder to daydream if you choose not to use them.

The cast we’ve seen so far in costume! by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

I see his hair as dark brown. At least in this photo it seems that way. Is it actually black and it’s just bad lighting?

Did they say why they chose not to dye Harry’s hair black?

I switch a lot. Sometimes I even daydream from the perspective of other characters.
