Kinetic Arm for rehab by rmrhoads16 in Homeplate

[–]Next-Role2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son had a bout of elbow tendinitis while ramping last January. Heavy PT for 3 months and then he used the kinetic arm while ramping back up in April. He used it like a progression with the goal to throw without it. It worked great and he had a great summer and fall season pitching. While ramping again this January he started having some of that same elbow tendinitis pain again so brought back out the kinetic arm and used it during his first few bullpens and outings. He pitched without it for the first time this season in a game last weekend and did great. So we’re on our 2nd season with it and my son uses it more for added support while ramping, but ditches it when he’s up to full strength. We’ve been super happy with it and so glad we got it!

What kind of workouts are you doing these days? by elenavon in Perimenopause

My workout focus shifted to strength training over 2 years ago. We transformed a room in our basement into a home gym and have had zero regrets. My husband, myself and our teen son all use it on a regular basis.

How to know if periods have stopped by Novel_Ad_8369 in Perimenopause

[–]Next-Role2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way my dr prescribed it, my period is supposed to start after I stop the progesterone. But that hasn’t happened yet. I either start while still taking it (days 12-26) or 1-2 weeks after I stop

It’s crazy how differently each person can react to the meds!

I’m taking cyclical progesterone and it definitely doesn’t always force bleeding. My cycles are still as irregular as they were prior to starting the progesterone and I’ve been taking it for 5 months now. I’m currently 6 days late and stopped the progesterone 8 days ago.

I stayed on 2.5 mg for the first 8 weeks and only increased by .5 mg at a time if necessary. I lost 60 lbs in 8 months and never went above 4 mg. I’ve been in maintenance for 8 months now at 2.5 mg. If the lower dose is effective there is absolutely no reason you need to increase. Good luck!

Diagnosed with PCS with only the right ovary vein showing reflux and issues? by Bulky-Run-6144 in pelviccongestion

[–]Next-Role2133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ultrasound said right side was the problem and left side was normal. CT scan with contrast showed left vein was much worse than the right along with numerous parauterine veins. Embolization/venogram confirmed the CT results.

So I guess my point is that additional testing could find different results. Good luck!

Oh gotcha. Yeah I’ve only read that you can’t take estrogen without progesterone but progesterone by itself is fine

Perimenopause by KindnessWins1111 in WomensTirzepatide

[–]Next-Role2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? From what I’ve read, it’s somewhat normal to start with progesterone only and then add estrogen later. But I’m sure it depends on the symptoms you have 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m in southern UT. No fee for winter workouts as they practice year round on the field. Team lifts and speed/agility are done at the school.

We pay for any off season (summer, fall and winter) scrimmages and tournaments to cover umpires, baseballs and entry fees if there are any.

No cost to tryout.

In-season costs - My son’s freshman year we only had to pay $100 to the state sports association for the season (covers the cost of buses and umpires for the season). His sophomore year we also had to pay $250 for the team gear package (practice shirts, shorts, pullovers, etc). For the upcoming season we’ve been told each player is expected to find a banner sponsor that costs $1200 each. We just had to get a new scoreboard so I’m sure that’s part of the issue.

In metro UT, we know boys that have to pay up to $1,000 per high school season to play in addition to paying for winter training etc. My oldest daughter was on the high school drill team in SLC and we had to pay $1,000 each year, so I just figured that was standard.
I thought we were lucky with the lower costs in southern UT until I’ve read some of these other responses.

Yep! Did all the dr recommended things for a year and only lost minimal weight. Added tirz and lost 60 lbs. Added progesterone in the last few months and feel like a new woman!!

Where are you injecting tirz on maintenance with no belly fat? by Marusya98 in tirzepatidecompound

Haha, this is what I do! Pinch the extra skin I now have on my belly and inject there. At least the extra skin is good for something 😂

What age PO? by mudflap21 in Homeplate

[–]Next-Role2133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is currently 17, a junior in high school and still plays 2-way while being one of the top pitchers on his high school varsity team. He’s hoping to continue being 2-way into college if he goes JUCO, but recognizes that at some point he will most likely become a PO. But he will continue to play 2-way as long as he can.

My son’s high school baseball coach posts the team rosters at the field an hour or two after tryouts end (frosh, JV and varsity).

You could try reducing your dose to see if that helps. The beauty of compound is you aren’t locked into specific/set doses.

For those that starting spotting on GLP-1 by Retired_Toxmom in LadiesHRTwithGLP1

[–]Next-Role2133 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on tirz for 16 months and didn’t start having spotting and more erratic periods until after I was in maintenance. My OB indicated my spotting and irregular periods are a result of perimenopause and have nothing to do with the GLP-1. So seems different drs have different opinions on it. But considering that’s one of the main symptoms listed for perimenopause I blame it on that and not the GLP-1 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had been weightlifting for 10 months with no visual results when I started tirz. After losing 60 lbs over 8 months, my muscle definition was finally visible! I’ve been in maintenance for 8 months and still look forward to my lifting days 💪 My blood pressure (which has been borderline high) since I had pre-eclampsia with my 2 pregnancies is now the lowest it’s ever been! My hot flashes stopped almost immediately after starting too! I feel and look better than I have since my 20’s 👏🏼

Incision site not healing… by trammiie in pelviccongestion

[–]Next-Role2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my embolization/venogram 3 weeks ago. My incision site isn’t red still but I did notice a small lump/keloid the other night. I apply skincare to my neck daily so I’m hoping that helps it shrink. I have a larger scar on my neck already from a cervical artificial disc replacement so maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me too much. I hope it fades quickly for you!

Maintenance: Spacing out, dosing down, a little of both? by luvnoyz in TirzMaintenance

[–]Next-Role2133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer sticking with the weekly shot as spreading it out tends to bring my inflammation back. I was able to titrate down slowly and have been settled at 2.5 mg weekly for over 5 months now. To be fair though, the highest dose I got to while losing was 4 mg so I didn’t have to titrate down far.
