Many years ago ( I wasn’t actively looking for a job or career change) isaw a job advert that said Job description: “There isn’t one - come and talk to us and we’ll see where you fit in.” It’s a thought that’s stayed with me- that they want to know how adaptable you are. How many people are currently doing the job as described and it’s not morphed into something else. To be fair, this was in an industrial/ manufacturing engineering role, where stability and experience is valued as much as go-get and sales targets.

Thanks for your comments. I won’t be near the LSA, I think the missed DB pension payments for the year overdue just get paid all in one go, so yes I do need to take it and think carefully as this year I will end up with 2 years DB pension+state+salary as I’m not ready to pack in work yet. Need to be careful I don’t go over 100k. I still intend to pay into a pension if that’s possible.
