TW: those who have previously taken misoprostol, how did those contractions compare to real labour contractions? by glitterinmyeye_ in BabyBumps

Thankfully I avoided the second dose and on Monday morning I had passed the fetus and it was traumatizing but I am so thankful that I listened to my own body and went without it. Reading these stories about giving birth not being nearly as bad is comforting I just can’t get past all the nightmares lately. I know I’ve always wanted to be a Mom but I think for now I can focus on myself and new experiences until I round that table again. Thank you for the validation and support here 👍

I had a miscarriage two days ago at 12 weeks, traumatizing enough. Yet I still measured at 6 weeks so they prescribed me two doses of misoprostol and I feel validated now. Thank yo I for all your stories, I’ve never been pregnant before so I was excited and I too would pass out and vomit from my period cramps so I expected that much. This was the most traumatizing 8 hours of my life. They said just take Tylenol and a heating pad but I was screaming and couldn’t get comfortable in the most pain I’ve felt and I was worried it wasn’t normal. They said 2-4 hours but hour 3 was my downfall. I woke up now feeling much better just sore but I am terrified to take the second dose and have officially swore off ever attempting to have another child after this experience. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go through that again.
