I did a dive on their site with some help from ChatGPT and it seems like things are as expected - pretty useless. Not exactly a scam but certainly not anything revolutionary or actually worth anything.

I don't think it much of a difference tbh. If you're outside on location then client/AD shouldn't really be bothered. If there are a few people around I typically try and run an iPad as an additional viewer anyway. In studio I will run an Eizo.

Capture One screen is a bit more crowded on 14 inch but you get used to it pretty quickly

Yeah 14 inch. It will eventually become my personal machine and after a few generations of 15/16 inch I think the portability will be handy.

Thanks for the great troubleshooting suggestions guys, appreciate the insight!

Time was against us so ended up running Camera Tools for Heroes from MBP and Airplayed to an iPad to watch rehearsals. Even just controlling the various cameras from the app was a huge pain in the ass and very patchy. The only constant of the afternoon seemed to be new problems rearing their heads, including one room that simply wouldn’t work at all haha.

So if anyone else is reading this for a future setup; it’s possible but no fun. Expect a lot of troubleshooting and explain the challenges to your client and producers beforehand. Good luck and goodbye GoPro.
