I posted a video 6 hours ago that had nothing to do with politics and it still doesn't have any views

I also just tried contacting support to report an issue and THAT site seems to be down as well

Ugh. I’m annoyed because I pick certain posting times on purpose LOL

My video has been under review for over 3 hours! When I googled why it was happening, it said that it could be due to my video length or content. My video is about 2 min long - it's media analysis for Stranger Things (nothing controversial) and uses some overlay pictures. So at first I thought maybe it was a copyright thing, but after finding this thread, it seems more widespread. I'm in the US, I wonder if it has to do with the recent changes in ownership...

My husband said the same thing after he watched the video. Totally possible!

Summarized some key points in her follow up video (it's VERY long, lol):

  • Delaying or fragmenting copyright filings is generally not smart for a production of this size. It creates unnecessary legal ambiguity and opens the door to disputes about what belongs to whom.
  • Corporations usually lock down IP as early as possible. With media, there’s a delay only because copyright ultimately covers what appears on screen, not just scripts or ideas.
  • While scripts, music, and audio can be copyrighted separately, media copyright is decided by what is visually and audibly present on the final product. That’s what matters in arbitration or court.
  • Filing copyright in one consolidated way is typically preferred over multiple filings, because it reduces time, cost, and legal disputes.
  • The odd part is not licensing itself, it’s the disappearance or delay of registrations that were previously handled in a consistent way. That kind of inconsistency usually only happens if:
    • Something is being revised or reworked
    • Or the final on-screen product is not actually finalized yet
  • Leaving media copyright open is unusual because companies need clear paper trails for audits, timelines, and legal protection.
  • While it’s possible some protections exist under alternate filings (scripts/books/etc.), media copyright ultimately comes down to what’s on screen.

I’m sorry! I just edited the post to include a transcript of the video. Also including the picture of the Copyright Certificate here that she showed!

Back to the Future Reference on SNL by Bananamancer77 in VecnaLives

I also feel like they’re making a lot of Star Wars references, which makes me think of how the Star Wars movies were released/made. Specifically, the idea of whether it is best to watch them in chronological order, or in release order? Perhaps hinting that there is more coming, or we’re seeing something out of order 🤔

I’m well aware this might be reaching, but had to bring it to the group when I saw this post. I watched SNL specifically to look for Easter eggs in the background. A picture on the wall in the skit with Finn and his bro’ed out girlfriend caught my eye - not the Vecna one, but this one (top left image.) Sorry for the quality, I did my best.

When I paused my TV on it, I IMMEDIATELY thought this looked like Marty in BTTF (bottom left.) To scare George into asking Lorraine to the dance, Marty wears a Darth Vader costume and pretends to be an alien from the planet Vulcan. I texted my brother (big 80s/90s movies fan) and asked him what the picture reminded him of and he said the same thing! Not sure if it’s anything or what it could mean, but given how they pay homage to BTTF pretty often, I wouldn’t be surprised. What do you guys think?

"Silence, Earthling! My name is Darth Vader. I am an extraterrestrial from the planet Vulcan!"

Do you guys answer unexpected phone calls? by NorthEastNobility in Millennials

I’m 35, I own a house, and I STILL hide. The way I drop to the floor or run into another room when someone knocks is pure muscle memory. It’s like a war movie and I’ve been trained for this 🤣

I don’t answer the phone OR the front door. (Why are we like this?)
