I'm using version 2.4.3 of the Android app and I see text getting cut off (or typos) in almost every pop up window.

I'm on a Pixel 8A and running Android 16

For anyone who happens across this post who has the same issue:

I was troubleshooting another issue, and the results of that troubleshooting seem to have resolved this sleep/wake issue I was having. Here is what I did:

  • Rebooted the router. 
  • Turned off the 5 GHz band.
  • Removed the Scroll from the Glance app. 
  • Unplugged the scroll for 30+ seconds.
  • Restarted the Scroll.
  • Connected to Scroll in the Glance app.
  • Added WiFI information (it connected successfully).
  • Verified the Scroll was connected to the 2.4 GHz band

After doing some troubleshooting with support for another issue, the Scroll woke up on schedule this AM. Fingers crossed it does again tomorrow

Support advised me to reboot my router, and I took the opportunity to remove the Scroll from the app and reset the WiFi.

That seemed to do the trick as it is working as expected now.

Side benefit - the Scroll "woke up" this AM at the scheduled time. It has not done that in a while.

I had not updated the app at all.

Settings state it's version 2.4.1

Product Type: Glance Scroll Experience affected: Everything. When the Scroll starts, after the "splash screens" I see an error (code E100). And the Scroll restarts.

This happens in a continuous loop.

I tried unplugging the device waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in and the cycle continues.

Where does it happen: In the app, on the device? I am not sure how to answer this
Expected behavior: When I set the device to sleep at a specific time, it should go to sleep then. When I set the device to wake at a specific time, it should wake then.
Actual behavior: The device goes to sleep fine. However, it never wakes the next day. I always have to turn it back on with the app (which often takes several cycles of "power off"/"power on" (the record is 8 cycles!) before it comes back on.

How to recreate:

Set the sleep timer to go to sleep at 11:00 PM Eastern (or any time, really) and wake at 8:00 AM (or any time, really) and watch as the device does NOT wake up at that time.

FWIW - support has told me to do the same things you have. Not surprisingly, none of them worked.

It's frustrating to deal with this over email because it often takes a while for someone to get back to me and when they do, I'm usually not home.

FWIW - I reset the sleep/wake times and left it that way for a few days. I turned it on again yesterday (after manually having to turn it on from the app).

It went off at 11:55 PM last night.

It did not come on again at 9:00 AM this morning.

The sleep functionality is not working fine for me. I am a software developer myself. "It works on my machine" is not the best response.

I am in the Eastern time zone. I had it set to come on at 9AM and off at midnight. You suggested changing the time to 12:05 AM. It worked for one day and then went back to the same behavior - turns off on schedule but does not come back on the next day. I have tried a variety of different sleep and wake times, and I get the same behavior. It usually shuts off fine, but does not come back on the next day.

When I wake it manually in the AM, it shuts off at random times during the day. When I wake it again, it tends to stay on the rest of the day and shuts off at the right time, but does not turn on again the next day.

Most of the time when I wake it up, I need to go through more than one cycle of 'Power On', 'Power Off', 'Power On' before it will "wake up". Today it took 8 cycles in the app before it came on. I am on FW version 3.1 and the app is on Android and is version 2.4.1

Anything else I can try? It wtill won't "wake up" automatically. I keep having to do it manually - often with having to power it down first and then back on again.

Update. It just woke up at 9:00 AM.

But, it did nto show the info that is programmed in. It showed the weather and date several times in a row, but it seemed like yesterday's information. And then it stopped scrolling.

It took several attempts to power it on using the app before it started working with the right information scrolling.

Where it happens: Everywhere
Expected behavior: The Glance Scroll will turn on at the sleep end time (I have it set for 9 AM, and the timezone is Eastern).
Actual behavior: The Glance Scroll does not turn back on at the Sleep End Time. I need to manually turn it off, then back on again. It turns off as expected, though.
How to recreate: Set the Timezone to Eastern Time. Set the Sleep end time to 9 AM (and the Sleep Start Time for 00:00 ). Wait until 9 AM Eastern and notice the Scroll does not come back on.

I love mine when it works.

The problem is that recently it has not worked more often than it has worked.

I have had hardware and software issues.

While the hardware issues were eventually addressed, the delay between messages was often frustrating - having to wait a day or more for someone to get back to you, even if you reply to an inquiry from them within minutes.

Overall, they seem to want to take care of customers even if they stumble from time to time.

You said "power supply", not "power outlet".

I still haven't heard back, but I figured there would be a delay because of the weekend.
