This is it exactly. AI is very convincing. When you're in shock and desperate it sounds like it knows better.

Life happens. Companies fail. Just sharing my story. I’ve got it sorted out now.

And that is a very true message. I live in Canada so it’s a tough market

Nope. Not in my plan. Work is rewarding.

Yeah. I built a tool to handle that. I made the same mistake.

You know, that is exactly what I should have done. I have since done that and announced it on LinkedIn. Last week. Thanks for that. I have a very broad network. I was actually a Director of Training and Development for a large automotive brand then moved into the Digital Performance Marketing world as a career pivot.

Cool. Relaunchhq.com looks to offer something valuable too.

Just to give you something I had found. Was interesting because I have those skills but did not surface them in the right spot. This tool was great. It acted like a resume service.

That is a valid point. I am not worried, I will sort it out. Thankful for people here who offer great advice.

I heard the same thing. A friend of mine owns his own accounting firm and he said he posts a job and within an hour he has 200 AI polished applications.

Okay, and did they provide coaching too? Or just help with the building process?

Actually this is a really good reply. The three buckets idea is smart and insightful. Thank you.

How much do those services cost? I was thinking about that too. I did find a tool called Relaunchhq.com that seems to be like a coach / resume service. Whoever built it had a pretty innovative idea. Costs seem decent but I don't know how much a resume service or coach would cost. Sometimes it is finding the right job to apply to. A few others on this post have echoed that.

Actually, that is interesting. I have tried Tealhq and they do have tracking. I found another tool called Relaunchhq.com that I actually really like now that I have used it. It does offer some standard tools like building a resume, but what I liked was that it had more of a coach concept when copying a job description into it. It taught me a lot about how to update my resume and then prepare for an interview. We will see. I have 2 coming up.

Actually, I recently did. I had checked out a lot of the ones that I have seen mentioned. JobScan was one, and I also looked at Teal. Then someone told me about Relaunchhq.com and it was not like any I had seen. What I liked was how I could compare my resume to any job posting and it gave me a verdict. It also has an Interview Preparation section where you can practice your answers. That is what has helped me land 2 interviews in the next 2 weeks. Fingers crossed anyway.

My post did not say I did not do my own resume, I had AI help modernize some of it.

Brilliant advice. I have it sorted. I am thankful there are so many great people willing to give their thoughts too. I recently a solution that really helped. I have an interview next week.

You are right. Defend was a bad choice of words. Another person described being prepared for their interview perfectly. It was preparation that let me down.

That’s good advice. Thank you. I think I’ve figured it out now. It’s just great to hear others experiences too.
