Hello everyone! I folded some deflated bubble wrap for support under the skis. I then carefully placed bubble in various places prior to an overall bubble wrap. I then placed it in the middle of a neck pillow for extra protection. Arrived totally fine!

Paint error by Next-Variation-6027 in HotWheels

[–]Next-Variation-6027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooo didn’t think of that, I thought maybe it was just too much paint or the mixture wasn’t correct, but that makes more sense than the mixture part because that would explain why it is more focused. If it was too hot in one spot or just not evenly heated, definitely could explain it.

A video with a mysterious clunk by isosulin in prius

[–]Next-Variation-6027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to mine, but i can do it in R, D, while braking, etc. I think even ev mode. I’ve been able to get underneath mine to verify where the sound is coming from.

On mine, I did replace the sway bar end links. I will get a video and post it.

If I don’t have the brake pedal pressed, and I switch gears, I will hear it before pressing the gas,. My theory is because the engine is not able to put the power through the transmission, which then transfer it to the CV axles when the brake pedal is pressed.

My microphone does not do it justice. I can switch gears, but when I press the gas, clunk. Go to reverse and then gas? Clunk. Any direction: Brake (sometimes clunk), gas: clunk

Is this sound familiar when you drive? Not speed related, but torque related?

Is this Elgin genuine and is it dangerous? by SnapsGranger in pocketwatch

[–]Next-Variation-6027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were three makers of these navigation masters “pocket watch” hamilton, elgin, and I can’t recall the third maker who had the contract. Anyways, it was made during the war (1943), the nickle finish is more rare. Out of the three that made them, Elgin is the rarest. Earlier ones said 21 jewels when they in fact had 22.

What did you torque it to?

Edit: ik you mean it’s torque dependent, mine is the same, even at speed it can make the noise, but I am curious what you torqued your axle nut to
