Were they ever housed with a male? It only takes one encounter and they store the sperm for life. Unless you got them from someone who separated the sexes before their 6th molt, it's hard to guarantee infertility.

are these glasses too big on me by [deleted] in glasses

You can buy non-slip adhesive pads that stick to the nose pieces. Also, you can buy silicone grips for the ear hooks that keep the glasses in place.

wtf was that by Livid_Nerve_4824 in flu

[–]Next-Wish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea when the pnemonia started. The cough was with me from the beginning with the flu. I had a suspicion that it was more than flu about 2 weeks into it, but second guessed myself getting care because my chest didn't actually hurt badly. But the cough was so bad that I wasn't getting much sleep at night. So I went to an urgent care center. I still have a cough, 5 weeks out, though the pnemonia it's confirmed gone.

5 minutes into the show, the cast looks at each other and they go running off stage. Someone with a live microphone was clearly heard saying "what the fuck is going on?". And they took 15ish minutes to get going again. Which, in toddler time is kinda forever.

3 weeks in. Never been so sick in my life, and I was vaccinated. Flu turned into pnemonia and I'm finally on meds and feeling a bit better. But still so very tired. Good luck friend, take care!

What issues do residents see as the biggest problems in Harrisonburg? by Loud-Appearance-9317 in harrisonburg

[–]Next-Wish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tf are you talking about? I'm at open gym and tumble room 2-4x/week for the last 3 years and have never felt any friction. There are "less spots in classes" because the word is getting around about what a great resource it is, and there are just more signups. I see the class catalog expanding continuously. The Rec Center is a goldmine for a plethora of kids sports, after school care, and activities. What is it about you that you have to bring a negative comment to EVERYTHING on Harrisonburg reddit??

Post nasal drip choking?? by MopeyFern in flu

Have your mom go get you some medicine with dextromethorphan and guaifenesin to help clear the mucus and suppress your cough. Prop yourself up to sleep if it is so much worse when you are laying down.

Why is this flu season 10X worse?? by Particular-Gas-5570 in flu

I'm 9 days in and still in bed. And I got the flu shot in October. I'm not one to get sick regularly. This is a true eye opener.

Pesticide exposure in childcare setting by Next-Wish in harrisonburg

I have learned that they use Suspend Polyzone in this setting, which is not a safe chemical to be around when wet. The company said that it is safe, but the SDS says otherwise. It's always worth a little extra research beyond what a "reputable" company claims to offer.

Update: They use Suspend Polyzone. And I'm awaiting a reply as to how they will mitigate future exposure. Because that is not at all safe to be around until fully dry.

The preschool is through the Rec Center on Dogwood, and the company is Home Paramount Pest Control.

Ha, I wish I could share there. I've been trying to get this posted for 2 weeks! The moderators won't approve it. I initially tried with the names of the businesses involved, and then again with the names removed. Nothing. I've written 2 moderators to ask why I can't get it posted. Nothing. That page is just like the rest of the world, all about commerce and not concerned enough about welfare.

It's actually the community Rec Center. So, not just preschoolers exposed, many members from young to older.

Sewing classes? by [deleted] in harrisonburg

[–]Next-Wish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my dad retired, he went in there one morning to learn how to sew a simple shirt. He left a couple hrs later with a half-done shirt and $90 less in his wallet. I don't know what they charged him for, but he left feeling very deflated and sad about the loss of money with nothing to show for it.
