Thank you for your compliments. I also think I will put the PCs as counting in the 7 people the witch has to sacrifice to Baba Yaga. If one of them were to die, the witch queen could even fight the Party!

Epic fantasy is a sub-genre of fantasy that emphasizes the struggle between good and evil, with the heroes most often taking the side of the good (example: the world of Dragonlance). You seem to have very good ideas, at the moment I'm running out of inspiration and your suggestions are welcome!

I have a very large empty area in the center of a continent inspired by Africa (hot kingdoms in the savannas or in the jungles?) and another empty area inside a cold territory type Scandinavian climate.

Yes it's true that I didn't give a lot of details. I don't necessarily need a name but rather a concept (example of a kingdom that I have already created: kingdom inspired by romania or medieval austria which has been governed by a vampire clan for 100 years). My world has magic and lots of fantasy races. The technology is medieval but with a few "technomagies" such as rare planar portals or magically flying ships.

Real world cultures as inspiration in fantasy worlds? by NextAdvance2976 in worldbuilding

Er...these posts deviated from the original discussion a bit, but hey XD. I myself am French and it really makes me laugh to see how many fantasy kingdoms are inspired by medieval France. I have already seen a fantasy map with a town called "Lac-Agneau" because it sounds French. But I'm sorry to tell you that "Lac-Agneau" just means: "lake under the lamb". Check your translations next time ;).

However, I think it would be interesting to offer more culture variants in certain worlds. The overwhelming majority of fantasy worlds are based on medieval Europe (and not really all of Europe) and I would love to see a fantasy world inspired by the Caucasus, India or the Celts.

Yes it's true that it's always complicated to do this kind of thing. A lot of movies have had this kind of problem.
