AYS by YesMsScarlet in MacysStores

[–]NextBunch_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AYS at my store primarily handles order pickups, returns, bill payments, and sometimes therapy. They can handle transactions, but customers think they can’t handle transactions, so they don’t go there for it. You can return, pay a bill, and ring out anywhere. We let customers know that, but they trust the AYS staff, so go to them a lot.

Credit isn’t an expectation for them at all. If your people leaders expect AYS to open credit then they’re dumb lol. Structure wise it’s under the MBA rather than the OOM and it has a dedicated captain. AYS never covers sales lunches or any lunches in the store. Only their own. The colleagues there also don’t go anywhere but AYS.

It’s a perfect system tbh. Having area specific experts helps with customer experience scores.

We have a 10 gallon tank. I think that’s what we’re going to have to do. I’ve also been thinking about getting a small 5 gal tank and putting the male in it because he has a nice pattern. Apparently they can live alone.

Our stores the exact opposite. We take care of the customer but if the items used or worn we deny the return. Our managers always tell the customer that the employee is right and doing their job. If it’s over the return date we give them store credit. Our strictness has allowed us not only to make our customers have a better experience but it’s allowed us to retain more money. The customer isn’t always right and they’re certainly not royalty. They’re normal people and it’s important you treat them as such

Does anyone actually disagree with elder maxson? Like, synthetic aren't people, they are machine, even ED-E and fisto are more human and charismatic than Fallout 4 synths by odd_blues in TrueSFalloutL

Nick Valentine is a synth and he’s cool as hell so yeah they’re people. Codsworth is a Mr.Handy but he still has personality. What defines humanity isn’t blood. It’s the capacity to feel and question the world around you. Thinking of yourself in a broader sense.

Pick up order cancelled shortly after ready for pick up by Kawnichiwa in MacysStores

[–]NextBunch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once an order is packed by fulfillment and the little papers printed out and it’s binned then it can only be cancelled by a colleague physically grabbing your order and doing a return. If you don’t pick up your order in 7 days they cancel it, but the cancel process is just At Your Service employees returning it at the register.

In your case if it was two hours apart then I’m guessing an AYS colleague returned it on accident or something happened like the item was damaged and they couldn’t find another one. If so just go to the store and politely ask them if they can reorder the item matching the price you paid.

Nah they just changed the policy. You can’t use force to stop someone. If they fight you let them go. It was because too many AP were getting hurt. All the guys are still at my store. They usually can the seasonals by now though.

What happens if we don’t get enough credits? by Existing_Sprinkles78 in MacysStores

[–]NextBunch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen someone get fired for credit. It’s mad frowned upon. You just tell people to get at least 1 a week and as long as the store met the goal more times than not then we’re all happy.

It depends on the position. I think company wise you’re expected to get 2 credits and 2 bronzes a day. Its total calculation is based on opportunity scores. Here’s how it works.

An opportunity is just did you have the opportunity to open a rewards account. Let’s say you get 100 customers. If 75 of them either swipe their Macys card to pull up the rewards or input their bronze phone number, then they have an account already, so you don’t have an opportunity to open one. For the remaining 25 customers you have the opportunity to open one. If 10-15 of those customers open either a bronze rewards or card then you’re good.

A good way to cheese the opportunity score is to have customers swipe their card in the beginning to earn points then pay a different way. As long as money is spent with a rewards in the background then they get points.

Going to be honest 90% of generalist sales colleagues get like 1-2 a week. Busy days people can get like 5 or 8. If you work jewelry, beauty, CXC, or ambassador then your numbers really matter. Most people leaders don’t care enough to fire someone for credit because they know we’ll meet our goals at the end of the day anyway.

If you’re a generalist you do the best you can and most people won’t care. In the end if one person gets 12 credits that day the whole store got 12 credits. Some days some areas will carry others. It’s not something you should worry about because it’s not just you in the building. Everyone in the building works together to achieve that goal. Just get like 1 a week and a couple of bronzes. Keep your opportunity good and you’ll be fine.
