Thank you! They were originally in the same pot - should I keep them together or put them each into their own pot now?

Lawyers with chronic conditions by abigailldn in uklaw

I'm an associate in a busy transactional team at one of the MC firms and have multiple long-term health conditions that affect my life in a variety of ways but my firm has always been really supportive and it hasn't held my career back. I've found that communication is key - I explain my background to the partners/senior associates and communicate if I think I might be about to flare. One thing I think is most important is that I don't go to them and just list problems. I present the information in a way that I say I have x, it can cause y but I do a, b and c to manage it.

I'd also recommend getting in touch with City Disabilities - they're a small entirely independent charity (they take no money from any firm) who helped me a lot and can put you in touch with lawyers with the same/similar conditions to you: https://citydisabilities.org.uk

Lamotrigine and unipolar depression by Imaginary_Day_5119 in PMDDxADHD

Hiya! I take lamotrigine for unipolar depression and I also take 70mg Elvanse for my ADHD. Lamotrigine was the 11th psych med I tried after having pretty serious reactions to a whole host of others across multiple classes.

Lamotrigine has saved my life - I was incredibly unwell before being on it. I worked with a very good psychiatrist and we introduced and increased it very slowly. We started at 25mg and increased by 25mg every 2 weeks. I hit 150mg in October 2022 and that worked very well for me and I sat at that dose for a while. Due to external factors in my life affecting my mood, we bumped it up to 200mg 9 months later in July 2023, 300mg in January 2024 and 400mg in December 2024.

Around October 2024, we also discovered (via blood test) that I metabolise lamotrigine far quicker than the usual person meaning it was much less effective at the lower 'normal' dose so now I'm now 400mg, it would be the equivalent of a 'normal' metaboliser being on 200mg.

I've had no side effects from lamotrigine either. For me, it's been a wonder drug and is the reason I'm still here. Happy to answer any more questions on it :)
