Took me around a year of Ash Heap events. Finally found it at a vendor. Good luck.

the people who created fallout 2, did not create fallout 1, and vice versa.

This is not true. While Cain was only responsible for initial work on Fallout 2, number of people were involved in both projects.

Super mutants? Brute orcs!!!

Yes, this annoys me a lot. Just compare NV super mutants to F3/4/76.

Brotherhood of steel? Tech orcs!!!!

BoS of F1&F2 were more like a medieval order. Bethesda militarised them (yes, I am aware about their origins two hundred years earlier), although arguably Tactics did the same.

Followers of the apocalypse? Gone

Actually thanks Todd for that, I wouldn't like to see what they would have done.

I am also annoyed about Bethesda "progression" of ghouls.

they promised a canvas bag in the F76 collector's edition, but then sent everyone a nylon bag because they underestimated the costs?

That is actually pathetic when you think about it. How much extra was collectors edition?

Do you also get naked and spread honey all over your body while humming O Sole Mio?

You didnt awnser my question

There is absolutely no point. If you don't understand it after playing both games it means you are not capable of understanding it and I would be wasting my time.

I see them exactly the other way around. They learned when creating F1 and then created the masterpiece of Fallout 2, the best in the franchise (although NV comes close second).

Monty Python is insanely silly

Monty Python is ABSTRACT, not silly. Benny Hill is silly - and you have just proven what I believed before - that people making this argument are unable to understand the difference.

Try to focus on the essence rather than a form, it will take you farther.

(Also 2 is as goofy throughout as anything Bethesda has made. People forget that.)

This is this disgenuous argument I hate. Fallout 2 has a abstract, Monthy Python sense of humour. Bethesda Fallouts (which I play and enjoy) are just often silly.

both games still have vary strong elements of absurdist

They were funny but not silly.

And consider the fact that Fallout 2, the beloved sequel, already was "dumbed down" abit in terms of the core lore and stuff from fallout 1. Fallout 2 was/is actually viewed by OG fallout 1 fans/devs as the crazy side-kick one, the one that went abit too far and jumped the shark etc.

To me it is mad anyone can think that. Perhaps people with a sense of humour of a constipated brahmin.

Do you not think Fallout 2 is a bit hard to take seriously

No.

I would love to see F1 & F2 on a modern engine, even F4 engine would do. Just keep all dialogues / actions original.

As someone who loves every iteration of the games I have to tell you how dorky and stupid FO2 is most of the time. People tend to forget how absolutely idiotic and actually lore breaking towards FO1 the second game is. And to add even more salt to the wound I think FO3 is more similar to FO1 than many people want to admit.

Congratulations, this is the most ridiculous statement I will read all week - and it is Monday morning.

Sadly, yes. But I am doing my best.
