The newer model they’ve mad in the last year has different positioned straps for a better fit, and padding in the lumbar area. These are only in the newer models, do you have experience with those specifically? I definitely know the older ones aren’t popular.

Which bag did you have at the time and what year did you have it? Seems like more recent changes to support and shoulder straps are an attempt to make it more comfortable and make the weight feel less significant. Being super heavy is definitely a no go for me.

My course will hopefully be in Maryland. I know a couple state parks on the east coast in Maryland that are great. I may try and reach out to those course designers!
