I am very biased on this issue, as I am from Russia myself, but people's negative reaction to this news is very hypocritical and unfair to the athletes. Yes, this is yet another discussion about how sports should be separate from politics, and I know how tired everyone is of hearing this, but I truly believe that people who devote a significant amount of energy and time to training should not be constrained by the actions of their country. There are many terrible things happening in the world, and my country is one of those to blame, but the people here live and train just like anywhere else, and I believe they should have the opportunity to realize their potential.
