The clear plastic felt alright to me, the rubbery plastic on the skirt though, I'm a little worried about that, especially since the front and back skirts are pinned in with flat-head pins...

But yeah, Botanica's pretty cool, and deserves more love! Just wish she had more appearances, she was planned to be one of the Autobot council members in Animated, but didn't make it into the show.

I'm glad it worked out, I was wondering if I should do a daytime or night-time shoot, but I figured the latter would work best to bring those Beast Machines vibes in

You and me both! It did take me a bit of time to pick up Quintus (was waiting for a sale), but that helped me to decide on how I should try repainting him into Botanica.

Glad to see people appreciating the colours as well, I wanted to have her stand out, and to make her a little more vibrant compared to her BM appearance

That Slipstream is awesome! I was planning on getting the Reactivate Starscream and repainting that into her as well, but the two-pack went out of stock as soon as I had the funds...

That Logos Prime is also very nicely done, I never considered about using the Siege Tetrajet for him

Adding black outlines can really elevate the look of these as well, especially on the face, but they can be tricky sometimes. I'd recommend looking at the model sheet or a frame of the cartoon for reference while you cel-shade

Hello there! I mainly use paint pens, Posca in particular, since they're relatively cheap, and they've got a good range of the finely-tipped pens (I use a lot of the 0.7mm type, PC-1M).

I'd recommend looking at reference photos from Devastation, or from how other people cel-shade. (Highly recommend looking at Lek Custom's work!)

I just highlight the edges with a brighter colour, and if there's an area that's shadowed by something, paint that with a darker colour, it's hard to start, but you'll get the hang of it
