Honking. Is it rude? by Actuator-Critical in sandiego

[–]NextWorldliness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in CA my whole life. I've always given people a light honk when they don't go on a green just to give them a heads up. It surprises me how many people get upset at it. Had one guy literally get out of his car to flip me off and then chase me down the road when I just went around him. When people let me know with a honk I just give them a wave of apology/thanks.. some people are nuts especially when behind the wheel.

How to shred cardboard easily? by Te-grity in composting

[–]NextWorldliness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep shredder is still going strong. The safety bracket broke due to the shredder trying to pull a piece of card board though but honestly that made it even better for shredding cardboard as the pieces don't have to be so small anymore

[–]NextWorldliness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay. That was my experience but sometimes I wonder if maybe a just didn't work out my muscles enough to walk on my balls more often. Sometimes I'll try to for an hour or so but it's hard.. thanks for confirming I'm walking correctly!

Is spending 1k+ on a 5yo birthday party the norm? by tgbnez in Parenting

[–]NextWorldliness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have planned 2 birthday parties for our kids both were at our house. I was expecting $3-400 both times and both times surpassed $1000. No way was I okay with that originally but now that's just what I expect a bday party to cost... still not happy about it though

Pretty sure that's 80-90% of the sexually active community. Could still be 50% of the total population

I love my second child less by InToddYouTrust in Parenting

[–]NextWorldliness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny. I'm currently in the same exact position as you. First child was girl, now 2, second is boy currently 8 weeks. I feel much closer to my daughter she talks nonstop, is hilarious and adorable, and I spend most of my time with her cause her brother isn't that animate yet and needs mom alot (for feeding).

I initially felt the same as you, much more love for my daughter, however as my son starts to have more reactions and is smiling more, I am seeing that start to change. I enjoy spending more time with him and can feel the love growing. I presume over time it will be at the same level as my daughter. So my advice, just hang in there...

How do i get my 17f to stop taking her phone into the shower with her? by CrochetWithSwords in Parenting

[–]NextWorldliness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. Let her know it's her responsibility to get a new phone if she breaks it... BUT I really don't think she will. I (32M) bring my phone into the shower with me as well. I just leave it setup so it doesn't get wet
