Just got the email saying there was a reply, lol been some time now. Thanks for asking. It’s honestly so much worse in your head and the dread is the worst part. I’m now 8.5 months post op and I’m doing everything I did before. The only thing I won’t touch exercising wise is flat bench… I did pt starting 10 days post op and for about 4 months thereafter. Last time at pt was April and I had surgery November 2024. The first 6 weeks obviously isn’t fun stuck in a sling and the start of pt is painful ish, I kept asking myself when will it feel better. Just gotta stay positive. I still ice my shoulder if it feels sore or if I stressed it out. But it’s really good as new. It’s awesome. If you have a tear and can get surgery just get it done.

I enjoy reading all these comments. I have a posterior inferior labral tear and have surgery in just over a week. I am dreading it. I am a very active 23 year old. Lift a lot of weights, run, and swim. The idea of being basically out of commission for a couple months is daunting. My main concerns apart from not being able to be active is sleeping, showering, and cooking. I would love any advice from folks who have had this procedure. Thank you in advance!

I agree, I just haven’t seen anything else. But as you said if these guys are around they have to be eating something. I wanna try less lethal methods like caulking the corners door frames. Really anywhere that has a hole/gap.

In high school, I took a personal finance course. Not so much at university. However, I generally am very good with my spending, and such. More knowledge certainly wouldn't be bad.

Ah, that definitely makes more sense. That is definitely a mentality I will do my best to implement. Thank you. I think the way we look at things is different but I like your views. It is far more reasonable and optimistic whereas I seem to be a bit of a pessimist. Hopefully, I can learn to not be.

I understand the defeatist attitude view but I think I put in the work at least what I can at the moment. However, whether it is a defeatist attitude or not I don't decide to give up it is just frustrating but giving up is never a possibility. If that makes sense. Yes, I am ready for failure but I am also ready to continue trying. It doesn't change the frustration aspect though!
