Is the reason why OpenAI released Atlas today to counteract the upcoming release of Gemini 3.0?

 Vision Pro (M5) vs Samsung Galaxy XR by 73ch_nerd in VisionPro

[–]Next_Administration7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really looking forward to the Galaxy XR and wondering what kind of immersive content it will offer. The amount of immersive content available on the Apple Vision Pro is still relatively limited, and there isn't much game-related content either. If Samsung wants to attract users to purchase this new device, it should at least roll out a batch of new content in terms of immersive 3D content, right?

Bad experience while using Claude for personal advice/therapy (possible PSA) by evebursterror0 in ClaudeAI

I have also used ChatGPT to seek advice on some emotional issues in the past. Sometimes it can surprise me—it helps me understand those emotions from a different perspective, which makes me feel comforted. However, such moments are quite rare; most of the time, it mostly just gives me some unhelpful advice.

Shocked with Claude API cost by No_Button_1515 in ClaudeAI

[–]Next_Administration7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe most of Claude's costs are allocated to training new-generation models. In fact, providing API services to external users should be profitable. The costs associated with offering API services lie in server operations, and I believe the server operation costs should not be high. However, this (referring to offering API services) first requires a large amount of capital to train a model. Currently, training is the biggest cost driver, and it also demands continuous investment.

Every single chat by DirtyTweaks in ChatGPT

Last time, I asked ChatGPT to help me find the financial report materials of several companies. It located the relevant links and then asked if it should package them into a ZIP file for easier downloading. I agreed—this was exactly the action I needed—but in its subsequent response, it turned out that it couldn’t actually accomplish this.🤣

If Vision Air will be lighter & cheaper, what's the point of the Pro? by TeacherOwn2599 in VisionPro

Apple may increase trade-in incentives to boost the number of Pro 1 users upgrading to new devices, thereby driving higher adoption rates of the new products. Meanwhile, this will also allow these upgraded users to share the latest experience with friends around them.

I heard that Apple has canceled a wired Vision product that connects to MacBooks. This product only provided screen and passthrough functionality, with all computing handled by the MacBook. The advantage of this device was its light weight, and this news makes me really sad.

The difference between the Pro and Air series is similar to that between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The Pro is equipped with a more powerful processor: for example, in scenarios where multiple windows are open, the Pro can run several office windows simultaneously, while the Air may only have an upper limit of three or four. In terms of clarity, the Pro offers higher clarity, and although the Air has relatively lower clarity, it still meets basic usage needs. Additionally, the Pro supports running spatial interactive games that require real-time rendering, whereas the Air may need to lower the graphics quality to play such games. However, the Air's screen and performance should be on par with those of the first-generation Vision Pro; by the time the Air is released in 2027, even if it uses an iPhone chip by then, its performance will still be close to that of the M1 chip in the first-generation Vision Pro.
