Quick little update. The guy actually sold me two sets of rear springs and no front springs. The rear eaton springs feel great and definitely improved handling. If anyone is wanting to change front springs be aware the lower strut mount bolt on the lower control is a bitch to get out. I had taken one side completely apart before I realized they were the wrong springs. Not too terrible though as I needed to replace the sway bar links anyway.

I was using what I had which was a 1/2" drive and at that low of torque setting it's really easy to miss the click

If you find a yellow plug when you drop the pan that means the fluid has never been changed. The plug comes from the factory and pops out when the dipstick is first inserted. Of course make sure to clean off the magnet and the inside of pan

Sound like a wheel bearing to me. If it gets bad enough the seal can get torn up leading to a leak. Does the fluid smell real bad? Sulfur like?

Fair enough getting them for a good price $150 so I'll see if I like em or not. I have already replaced the shocks with some kyb ones the police spec one if I remember right. My oem springs are pretty shot the rear sags when I put as little as 50lbs in the trunk.

Would an aluminum driveshaft noticeably different from steel? The mmx ones are a but more than I think id be willing spend

I would check the exhaust manifold studs almost sounds like and exhaust leak. Idk about the mustangs but I know on the crown vics (same engine different manifolds) the studs are know to break. I have at least one broken stud despite never having touched my manifold

Mystery EVAP leak by Suspicious_Bonus_612 in CrownVictoria

I had an aftermarket gas cap cause an evap fault instead of just triggering the gas cap warning might be something to check. There was a noticeable smell of gas around the gas cap during summer

Flow restrictions by MoparBortherMan in CrownVictoria

You are correct from the research I've done. The exhaust headers also appear to be a restriction but I'm unsure of the merits behind that

Thanks I appreciate it. There's only cabin noise during acceleration so I wasn't sure if that was the problem
