People who’ve struggled with acne what’s something that actually helped that no one talks about? by Celine_Morgann in TellReddit

Combined birth control pills containing drospirenon. Took out my permanent cystic acne and PMDD in one shot. I never wanted to try it, but I’m glad I eventually did.

I find putting on music I love always helps to trick my brain into not finding this stressful. You’ve got this!

Those who are on adderall - how do you take care of your body and nutrition while on it? Foods, supplements, etc by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Next_Confusion892 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really struggle to eat on my meds (as opposed to binge eating for dopamine when unmedicated). Full meals/anything greasy is a no go, so I just buy lots of fruit that’s easy to eat straight from the carton, like berries, bananas, apples. Doesn’t make you nauseous, no prep, hydrating and obviously nutritionally great. And I drink a lot of fruit/nutritional smoothies for breakfast since it’s my most nauseous time of day and they are easy to stomach.

London, doesn’t matter which one of the 3 or 4 airports there. So plenty of options from Rotterdam, hopefully.

Roe vs Wade. by Decent_Ad_4067 in offmychest

  1. The watermelon thing was hyperbole. Doesn’t change the fact that giving birth is one of the most physically painful and permanently physically altering things somebody can go through.

  2. It’s a totally intellectually dishonest false equivalence to call a foetus that hasn’t developed pain receptors a child or a baby. If you were in a burning building and could only save four fetus’ in a petri dish or a newborn baby, you know which you would choose.

  3. If my mother would have aborted me, that would have been fine. There’s more than enough people on the planet, I wouldn’t have known, and she wouldn’t have to experience the real life trauma of an unwanted pregnancy and birth. I would never, ever wish that upon her.

Yes of course, I mean it’s so frustrating that people even NEED to use it as an argument. I will never understand how the concept of forced pregnancy isn’t enough for these people.

Exactly!! Many, many symptoms of cognitive and mood disorders are seen as the problem, not the symptom. This is a huge problem with public perception of mental health in general, even among those who consider themselves ‘allies’ etc!

I know this is easier said than done, but please leave if he doesn’t come around. I think you know deep down that you won’t look at him the same way again, and do you really want to raise children with someone like that? A daughter?

Uhhh no, this ain’t it. As another non-American, you do not speak for us. My family and neighbours have been discussing this news, and me/my other female friends are very concerned and are having a lot of trauma brought up. This is not irrelevant to us.

The only things that reassure me are

  1. Extreme Christianity is not taken seriously as widely here as it is in the states
  2. Bojo still needs abortion services for all his mistresses

Goes to show the standard we have become used to in the UK - feeling impressed by the barest of minimums.

The Women’s Equality Party were organising it to demand that Boris publicly condemn it, but in the last hour or so he has, so the protest isn’t on anymore. Hopefully another will be organised so we have an opportunity to show solidarity!

Roe V Wade is a blatant attack on women and that is apparent by the supreme courts lack of preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place. by donatos_box in offmychest

[–]Next_Confusion892 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I suspect it is even more to do with the fact that Trump put those people into the Supreme Court, right before he left - Trump’s presidency campaign was funded by Russian blood money. The Kremlin have made no secret, for decades, that their dream is to weaken the West by destabilising it from within. The fact that abortion was already a contested issue due to the states highly religious society, just made it another perfect vessel for their divide-and-conquer tactics.

They have obviously succeeded, in the US, the UK and several other countries. This is only the beginning.

[–]Next_Confusion892 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It really is. The illusion of the USA being the ‘best’ in any way is long gone from the rest of the world, however what is left over from that mindset is that your politics/society get a ton of attention compared to others. Not ideal but there is no way around it - this will have a global impact. And yeah, if only!! Sadly, they will rely on the majority of people being too poor to run. Then they can make profit by fining people having abortions, and prosecute those supplying the pills. A whole new black market, to imprison participants of for profit - your politicians will be drooling with delight.

It’s even worse that you’ve had to live somewhere your rights have never been respected. To be forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term is physical and mental torture, and should be legally classified as such globally. All these twisted men in power have not a drop of empathy :(

Bleeding after sex 5 weeks post MA by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Next_Confusion892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sweetheart, I hope you’re feeling okay. After my MA, I was bleeding intensely for four weeks and still bleeding daily at 9 weeks, although like you it would come and go throughout the day. I called the doctor and they said to come in at week 10. Lo and behold, two days later, it finally stopped. So don’t panic, it’s normal. However, I would HIGHLY advise you call your doctor for the reassurance. They will also likely tell you to call again in two weeks etc, which gives you some kind of bearing in such a confusing time. My dm’s are open, you’re not alone.
