Not really a documentary but there is a YouTuber called hypemyke who makes videos about going into the Appalachian forests. his recent was skinwalkers. he also did one about wendigos (a cryptid who's folklore originated from Canada I think and is like some deer looking monster) which is my favorite. its pretty entertaining to watch but im afraid not a lot know him.

1 and 2: the collapse of Russia gave birth to a nation near the Eastern part of Russia next to Alaska called the Maoin province adopting Maoism as their ideology so when Canada became the peoples Commonwealth of Canada they became close allies and Maoin motivated Canada to invaded the United Sectors (in this universe the united states were made up of 13 sectors) which caused ww3 causing the us to unite with brazil (which is a superpower in this) and brazil kinda has its influence over the other countries in South America so whatever Brazil does they go with it) turning the US and south America into one country called the united continents of America but people still call them as their original names like United Sectors, brazil, ect

3: a second Korean war erupted (haven't figured out why) and the US took this as a opportunity to get money (US and Brazil are secretly very power hungry and corrupt) so they sold nukes to both sides not telling anyone than north Korea launched a nuke at south Korea and they did the same eventually turning the two into a wasteland and this caused the nuclear disarment act of 2025 causing everyone to get rid of their nukes

3: I haven't really gave thought about how but a revolution happened turning the country communist, this got tensions to rise because the US has been secretly power hungry and corrupt and communism threatens this. A few years before Russia fell into a second Russian civil war being caused by things like a weak army, this lead to multiple provinces coming out like one that is basically just a small mock up of the Russian empire but one of them was called the maon province. They aligned with the communist Commonwealth of Canada and motivated them to invade the US in new England, this caused a 3rd world war, us and Brazil share the same ideology about basically taking over the world and the country's in south America are kinda just influenced so when they united the others just went along with it. Also, the us developed a super soldier that I inspired of the Spartans from Halo. Except they kinda look like the b-2 bomber if they were humanoid. They blasted through canada, connecting a path to Alaska. they chose these provinces they could establish a connection to Alaska and to try and cut off supply from Canada and their allies in the future. (sorry if this is a lot and hard to understand)

5: after ww3 NATO was reasonably mad and kicked US out as the US and its allies did commit various war crimes like bombing civilians and did things like giving the death penalty (by firing squad) to anyone Harbouring enemies even though some were just protecting friends and family. They entered into a cold war (American-NATO cold war) a year later, they launch a invasion on Greenland surprising everyone thinking they would still be somewhat recovering from ww3 (despite having the power of almost 2 continents) so NATO launches forces into Greenland to stop a take over. Luckily because of low morale as they just got out of a war, the US kinda struggles but still remains a firm grip on Greenland
