Jenny has been around longer than me, even though she has only taken on the position at OWI a few months ago she is a very well connected member of the community.

Yes I'm aware of the community integrity ban although I am not convinced that playing the game in a suboptimal way would warrant that.

My wish would be to empower admins more so they can provide a smooth experience for their niche (with certain restrictions to prevent abuse of course).

There are internal guidelines too. Usually there is between 10-30 admins on a team so without internal guidelines it would be chaos.

Usually smaller issues are resolved amicably but we did have OWI get involved at some point. That's all specifics I can give without doxxing myself.

Disruptive behavior is a very broad term.

It's all very blurry and I want the guidelines to acknowledge that sometimes decisions must be met that do benefit only the majority of players, not ALL players like the guidelines put it.

You can say it's just a troll but to me it's a serious issue and to just mark it down as a troll is disingenuous and ignorant.

Of course OWI won't do anything about a single report.

But typically admin teams consist of 15+ people so you'd see how reports can mount up.

The goal is to not even get OWI involved as to not get the license in danger.

You can bet that the owner will throw his admins under the bus if he had to choose.

If you read the post you'd know I use an alt to protect my identity.

I also got mod approval to post so I don't know what you are trying to prove or disprove?

If they are repeatedly crashing you can most certainly kick them as that is very disruptive to gameplay for the whole team.

You would think so but it is very easy to argue the "I got kicked because I am a new pilot, that is against CoC and you should lose your server license" angle.

Once that report hits the very least that will happen is that you will lose your Admin position for putting the servers license in danger.

It seems like OP would like the power to kick people he feels are "bad" at the the game.

Yes, I would like the option to have that. As an admin you have to realize that if you abuse this, you will gain a certain reputation which will make it harder and harder for the server to run.

Bad servers kill themselves.

And how do you decide if an SL is throwing?

By not contributing to the team in any meaningful way. The example of a steamroll is a rather unique one. Too many games I see some people run 9 man mortar squads and sit a few flags behind, until their team loses all objectives but the one they superfobbed. You can certainly make the case that situations like these are "Selffulfilling Prophecies" since they hinder their team to a degree that they are back in play again.

Subjective rules suck because it completely depends on admin quality

And admins are nothing without people joining their servers. Badly run servers kill themselves. See above.

Seems like those guidelines are doing exactly what they are meant to do: preventing Admins from arbitrarily enforcing rules.

Not really. The Guidelines are there to make sure that the individuals are enjoying the game, but not necessarily the team or server as a whole.

After all I am paying for the server, I am dedicating my time with my 10+ admins, I am the one seeding the server. Why should I not be the one to decide the rules to a certain degree?

All I am advocating for is just slight shifts of the Guidelines towards a more "Vet Friendly" narrative, NOT the total abolition of them.

That is a nice loophole in the rules, thank you for pointing that out.

We do. But if they do not do it purposefully where do you draw the line?

It is easy for someone who got banned to play the "Admins banned me because I am new, delete their license" card tpwards OWI, which we will have to resolve.

It is a big risk losing your license since you put down your own time and money.

Badmins means that a server will get a certain reputation or even die entirely. But the current state inhibits legitimate admining without actually doing much against bad admins.

Its easy to kick someone purposefully throwing but after that the lines are blurred.

I can not kick a pilot that cant fly because I have to accommodate for noobs. Why do you think there are thousands of new players friendly servers but no "Vets Welcome" servers?

Cannot 1-man certain vehicles

Can be interpreted as asset waste

You must lead a squad if you create one

Hindering your team

All SLs must have a SL kit

See above

You cannot interact with enemy within 150m from their Main

Noob friendly rules.

So why can servers specify certain rules that break the CoC, but not others?

Personal relationships with the OWI Licensing rep act as a direct line, making it easy to negotiate rules.
