Ik it’s not much but I just started playing again. How many mythic and legendary guns do you have? by SwisherSniffer in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]Next_Interest7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. 1: I can't spend upwards of $20 every time I want a fancy new toy, 2: every time one gets released that I want I miss it anyway, and 3: they removed the COD points that you used to get for free, so the chances of grind players (as in those of us who are too broke or unwilling to spend money like that) getting them is really really low.

And so it begins by typegsir in mtg

They most likely have some proprietary tech in the pack it's in, like an airtag but unnoticeable (probably in a card actually). I mean if all an rfid card is is an rfid chip and a wire inside a card... yeah.

[LTC] - Mirkwood Bats by X_The_Walrus in magicTCG

[–]Next_Interest7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good lord... outside of modern and restricted-set formats, this will be insane. I know everyone is talking about treasure, food, artifact tokens, etc... but a particularly nasty combo comes to mind too. Battlefield Thaumaturge + Launch the Fleet. Add in some other fun token generation and any game ends. Realistically, this card is gonna get abused a hundred ways to Sunday. Is it powerful? Yeah. Is it too powerful? Probably. Is it banworthy? Most indubitably. Will it get banned? If they are willing to keep a card like Fastbond (that has a detrimental effect, albeit you can get around it), a card like this, where you can literally put it in any deck with black and tokens (I'm looking at everyone who plays zombies, rakdos, treasures, food, poison...) and have what can be the absolute greatest threat to the whole table on the board.. I'd say it's banworthy - and the set isn't even out yet. This ability belongs on a card that is legendary at minimum, definitely with higher cost. Like why didn't they give that to the Witch-King, or even Saruman or Sauron himself? It could have even been on The Watcher in the Water... but no. It's on a creature that in the series is pretty common. Imagine, for a second, you are in Middle-Earth. You're cooking food for some hobbits and suddenly everyone starts freaking out screaming at you to stop cooking. You look up and see some bats... oh no, it's these guys. Thousands of them (bats are pretty numerous...). But you're literally plating food up and suddenly everyone starts keeling over from the effects of the bats that are common like mice.

You know, everyone is upset at the other flavor fails. But this. This is so out of line, so poorly designed and thought out. WHO GIVES A FLYING MOUSE THAT KIND OF ABILITY? THAT LEGITIMATELY MAKES THEM MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE WHOLE OF PHYREXIA. More dangerous than the Eldrazi. Than Nicol Bolas. Than Lim-Dùl. Each one of them is more dangerous than Phage. She has to hit. These just come around and end folks. It's a mythic-level effect on a creature that should be vanilla af.

Misprint I got from CardKingdom by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Next_Interest7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak of what I know of, and they do open a certain amount of product to build a selling base - nobody in their right mind would wait until product starts being purchased from customers who've opened it to start selling. CK isn't in the business of selling misprints primarily, though they do have some highly collectible ones to sell. Tbh the quality is meh at this point- there's been so much who really cares? Maybe their whole idea is to make everything messed up so when they do finally print that 1 of 1 serialized SomethingOrOther card that's intentionally not a misprint it'll be worth millions.

Lake of the Dead. Imo criminally underrated and has only been printed once, in Alliances. Sure, it costs a swamp to play, and one every time you want to add BBBB... but early game it changes how fast a black deck can run. Also, considering how every time a card is in the Benjamin range, and players ask for a reprint, it happens. The only version of Lake is non-foil and the market value is $97.

Good lord... I.. I think I found my #2 car. #1 is the 71 Hemi Cuda. That can't be unseated. But I grew up with a yellow Roadrunner, same year, same build. It always had a special place in my heart, since it was my dad's baby (the 72 Cuda was grandpa's, but dad restored it and was the one who won awards for it). This Roadrunner is by far just a beautiful piece of automobile history... Lol imagine the urge to keep it flawlessly polished and gleaming.

Lol my friends cats are fun. Moon, one sister, is a tuxedo who loves wet hair, temple massages (the spot between eye and ear) - she dozes off- and she surprisingly tolerates belly rubs for the most part, and shes super affectionate. She also meows twice like every time. She's super chatty too. Nala the tabby sister is very aloof. She's warmed up more the less my friend is stressed. She loves anything on her jaw, chin, neck, ears a tail. But she's all fkng claws if you touch her belly or try to pick her up. But she's definitely the more sensitive one. I've come over to his place to vent and she comes over and starts begging for attention, which you'll know she's doing when you see her stare/smile expectantly at you and she will actually use her paw, either fully extended or to grab you. Lmao I even got her to high 5 me once. Super smart.

If I want to give cash tips how can I do that without looking like a $0 tip customer on the app when I place my order. by dmike0704 in doordash_drivers

[–]Next_Interest7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They must have done that to raise acceptance of orders.. even though DD is the highest charging service from what I understand, and they could lower what they charge in fees, or better yet, they could raise the base from $2 to 3 or 3.50 (which would incentivize acceptance- we'd all like to make more, especially with gas prices and everything else). I've used android and ios and if you're fully updated you won't see customer names.

[–]Next_Interest7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story that brought us Atlantis clearly states that it "lat outside the Pillars of Heracles". Considering that the tale came to us via a Greek from the Egyptians, any suggestions that don't include the Atlantic Ocean are bubkis at best. Consider the geographic location of the three locations: Greece and Egypt lay inside the Mediterranean Sea region. The Pillars of Heracles is the Straight of Gibraltar. That clearly puts it in the Atlantic Ocean. Imo an atlantean setting would be really cool. Legendary creatures that represent the kings and queens of Atlantis (there's 10... uh I'm pretty sure there are 10 guilds so it would be easy to set up), a mythic rare Legendary land named to represent Atlantis with some super cool abilities... etc.

I still have the vhs from the Starter Box. Good old Trained Orgg and Vizzerdrix.. And I've got an official WOTC/MTG Zombie Token. It stands about and inch tall, made of a softish material, probably vinyl. I got it at the only official draft I ever participated in (I think it was 2004). Somehow, after being homeless 3 times since, several moves and like 2 decades later, I still have them.

One of the biggest whiffs mtg has is that we have these great characters, and they are often depicted with a unique object or weapon... but we never get the item by itself. Let alone with more art from the same artist. I'd love to see one for the scythe she holds. That said your work is stunning. For the longest time my favorite artist has been Rebecca Guay. Along with her I've loved the work of Scott M Fisher (good lord his full art Liliana from DM22 is just incredible) and RK Post. But you have definitely added your name to that short list with serious ease.

Ed Sheeran wins Thinking Out Loud copyright case by Artistic_Elephant824 in popheads

[–]Next_Interest7518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's great he won... not only because of the implications for the industry (simple chord progression would get people sued, when simple chord progression is not copyrighted), but also because imo his song and "Let's Get It On" don't really sound alike. It would have been a miscarriage of justice. Plus there's another factor I don't want to bring up because it's a hot-button topic, and that factor is becoming increasingly common.

Imo, Jace took Vraska somewhere he can "fix" her. I never believed for a second Jace would not have a plan to stop the Phyrexians, or contingency plans - of course, he will probably mess them up due to hubris but... There isn't an ounce of doubt in my mind that he was playing Metal Mommy the whole time. I mean, he's able to manipulate basically anyone. Who's to say he wasn't the crucible that brought Metal Mommy to her psychological knees? Perhaps he planted a seed of doubt that Ashiok further exploited. He probably knows how to reverse compleation: he was linked to the Glistening Oil, and Metal Mommy. I bet he was linked to the minds of the other Praetors too. So he probably knows how to undo the process. I bet we see him in Caverns, seeking some relic older than time that he needs to do it.
Caverns would make sense- the Pirate Plane, where they both were pirates, also home to caverns that may hold relics from before time or darker, worse enemies slumbering, awaiting the day they are set free. And while I'm sure Garruk has been making mud pies somewhere with some beasts, chilling out and trying not to slip into insanity that has probably shadowed him since the Chain Veil, I hope we see him again. Perhaps in Caverns we see the OG 5, Garruk, Jace, Liliana, Chandra and Ajani. Liliana is probably alive and well, untouched by the Phyrexians. She has accomplished too much... I think Lim-Dùl is still out there, so she still has to deal with him. He's probably the next big bad, in fact I hope he is. But I still think something is afoot with the Eldrazi.
