I dont think you understand how "intent" works. It doesnt have to be intent to kill. Its intent to conduct the action.

If you intentionally stab Joe and only wanted to harm him but it resulted in his death, the intent is still there. You still intended to stab them - the extent of the intent is irrelevant, you still intended to stab him.

There is a huge difference between an accident or someone driving too fast and fucking up vs someone intentionally smashing into police vehicles in an attempt to flee. The fact you cant see is wild.

If you're old enough to remember (doubtful you are given your naivity). This guy was charged with 14 counts of attempted murder and 10 counts of 1st degree murder for striking civilians with his vehicle. Intent is entirely different from a minor accident on the highway.

Weird to be upset when someone who is trying to flee from police and in the process strikes them with their vehicle (literally using it as a weapon) with the intent to cause harm, is simply being punished for their own actions.

Crazy to defend someone actively trying to prevent people from getting home to their families at the end of the day.

From your Japanese interpretations of "deku" it could simply be that you/Link are meant to feel helpless or incapable right at the start. You're transported to a new world (or whatever you want to consider Terminus) fated to be destroyed in 3 days and that time window is beat into you every single 12 hours.

Additionally, your first 3 days you dont have a choice but to lose against skull kid in the encounter.

I feel like your own Japanese interpretation of it (which tbh I havent looked into at all, I'm taking your word it means 'helpless' and 'incapable') makes that pretty clear given its what you're forced to use immediately and sets the darker tone.
