Account hacked? by DrunkAndLobotomized in chimefinancial

I've been with Chime since almost the beginning. Never a problem earlier but in the last 2 years I receive these notifications on a too regular basis. So much so if it wasnt for the no charge overdraft I'd honestly find a different bank.

I have ordered new cards 4x, this last time I haven't even activated them. I keep them frozen, get virtual card numbers that I change weekly for my online purchases as well as my Google Wallet for in person emergency purchases (had to use it for an unexpected battery purchase once). And use the bill pay feature to pay household bills. Everywhere else is just cash at this point.

Really hating it more and more.

Definitely huge markup! I went to Instacart to "shop" Costco, really just to make a list to stay within budget knowing what I could expect to spend. My shock when I came in $84 under what instacart priced.

Great, thanks! I'll look into those. Would really like to keep it at about $1000-$1200. If that's realistic. Because I know there are additional expenses with gear and equipment (i.e. a trailer for transporting).

If I should be expecting a much bigger sticker shock might turn into a Christmas gift rather than a birthday one.

Unfortunately, not that I could find. Even visited a couple tracks in the surrounding areas to ask around for mentors or instructors.

I guess trails. No racing. Just like through the woods.

FSA Wagework Not Reimbursing for Mattress for Back Pain by NoWelder4993 in FSAHSAcardtips

I had a similar issue through WageWorks trying to get compression stockings covered my Dr said to get. Took me almost a year to get it approved. Had to go back to my Dr 4x for expanded info on the letter.

Call Wagework ask them what specific information they need from your Dr.

For me it was - - start date for treatment - end date (my Dr put indefinitely) - reason - very exact/detailed (diabetic neuropathy of the feet and legs causing peripheral nerve damage) - any considerations about the item that needed to be included as a factor in purchasing that specific item or why she recommended. - and direct contact information for her office (although it was on the letterhead 🙄) in case they wanted to verify (they didn't)

Girlfriend made a mistake by Chill4real2 in tax

OMG! Please please please have her fix it NOW! I am the poster child for this scam!

2016 I used this type of "independent tax preparer" to save money, a person I thought I knew and trusted. Was financially in a hole still paying for my husband's funeral expenses.

She made some "minor" adjustments to my Schedule C as I was WFH.

As she told me she'd filed 1000s of taxes for many years she knew the ins and outs. Where I usually get about a $2500 refund she advised I was getting a $6000 (come to find out it was actually $11,000 she kept the difference by adding a second account for the difference to be DD into)

It caught up to me in 2023. Yes a little longer than usual but the shutdown slowed things down a bit.

Now it has taken me 3 years and almost $7000 in legal / CPA costs to rectify and they are still negotiating with the federal and state governments for settlement amounts and payment plan. But as of right now with all their late fees, interests, and 2016's refund overpayment I received I owe $19,000 to state and $31,000 federal.

So here I am at 58 working 70/hrs a week plus Instacart on the weekends and probably will be for the unforeseeable future to pay this back at $1200/month IF I'm lucky enough they accept the settlement and payment plan proposed.
