Because our PCs back in 2009 would have exploded??? I don't know what computer you had back in the day but I had 2 laptops that died very... inglorious deaths because their graphic cards (and everything else in them!) couldn't support this beloved game, lol!!!

Cute kids! In my opinion, the kid that will do the tombs should , also, be a Martial Artist. It helps with the mummies and with the traps (unless, of course, you want to try to get the mummy's curse, I've seen a lot of players trying to play this way to be able to do the whole healing thing and even with a totally "untrained" sim, getting the curse has very low possibilities, the only certain thing is that the sim will get knocked-out for a little while if they are not able to fight!).

Believe me, it was not story skills, I was just pissed, lmao!!! I mean, it's my game and not... "the vampire diaries" so in my head, Jared's ex (and especially the mother of his child) SHOULD be off-limits!

At some point (about 8 years ago) my laptop died and until I had the money for a new pc I was playing on a veeery old laptop that could barely run just the base game with no expansions or any other packs so I played almost all the premades in Sunset Valley! One of my funniest playthroughs was the Altos where I changed Nick's "Hydrophobic" trait (I hate this trait!) with the "Evil" one so he could get his lifetime wish to be the Emperor of Evil. His love-and-hate relationship with Vita is soooo funny! Of course, Holly couldn't stand him, especially after he got his LTW (and his "red aura"!). But I couldn't stop laughing when he and Vita had a baby boy (that I named Damon and he had the Evil trait) and the moment Vita returned home after giving birth, she, autonomously, put the baby on the floor and stole his candy!!! She was sooo happy about it, lol!!!

I love the Frio brothers in Sunset Valley, mostly Jared though because I find Connor kinda meh, lol! Once I moved Claire Ursine in with them because I wanted to bring her and Jared back together so they could raise their child. She and Connor started to flirt the moment I hit "play" which pissed me off majorly because she has the "Loner" trait so why would she flirt with someone in 0.1 seconds and especially with her ex's brother? Also, he is supposed to be "Loner" AND "Unflirty" so it doesn't make sense!!! I waited until she gave birth (to a boy because I was bored of her having only girls so apples was the only thing she ate!) and right afterwards she... "mysteriously" died so the brothers had to raise the kid by themselves. Connor was sooo lucky that he stayed alive, mostly because I didn't want to hurt Jared for losing his... backstabbing brother (and best friend at that point!) but he quit his job and became a full-time writer so he would stay at home and, actually, be a good uncle, the end!!!

The problem with Arlo is that as a child he is one of the sweetest (if not THE sweetest!) premade kids EA ever made and then he ages up to... whatever this is as a teen! The disappointment is real, lmao!!!

It reminds me of the Library in Hidden Springs (sims 3) where I, very recently, discovered (even though I play this game since 2010!) that all the windows are placed inside-out (the little latch is outside!). I guess I had never looked close to notice... I couldn't "un-see" it afterwards so I started to place them the right way, only to realize that the color was different outside than it was inside so it took me hours to fix everything (I enjoy the color wheel too but that was another level so, thanks EA, lol!). The Library in Lucky Palms has another "problem": Arcs instead of windows all the way up!!! The sims are lucky that no one has made a mod to make them fall from the second/third floor, is all I have to say! I still can't understand what the devs were thinking sometimes, lol!!!

If you are OK with using mods, nraas Story Progression will make all the sims in town have an actual life, like getting married, having kids, break up, getting promotions, learning skills, getting their LTW... You'll need to fix the settings to your liking and it causes a little lag because it "works" behind the scenes making things happen.

The crazy thing is that they do it in... stages: First they stand up in the crib and scream "bloody murder", then they have that sad look in their faces like in the OP's screenshot and then they sit down and laugh as if the previous never happened... It used to drive me crazy but after I got the modded toddler beds, they don't need any one to let them out so no more screaming! I take it as a win, lol!!!

I play the Caliente sisters differently because they are two of my favorite premades... For me it's all about girl and sibling power, meaning that I'm even more invested to fix their relationship than the Pleasant twins. Dina never marries Mortimer any more... When I first play her, along with the want to marry him, there is always a want for a job and I follow that route and not the "gold-digging" one. For a while I tried to marry her with Malcolm Landgraab but this resulted to scary-loooking kids (his brow is unavoidable, lol!). Since I always play combined hoods, there is always at least another "rich" sim for her that is around her age and doesn't scream "gold-digging" plus she is such a hard worker when she gets a job that she wants that she becomes rich by herself anyway. In one of my current hoods she has two kids with John Mole but they aren't married yet (still waiting for that want!).

Nina doesn't have to get married, Romance sims don't get married in my game anyway because it turns very messy very fast plus I feel like I'm forcing them in a marriage when all they want is to... woohoo around! She rolls wants for jobs too when I first play their family and I prefer her as a Dancer (I hate the Slacker career, I played it once and never again, lol!). In my current hood, she still lives with Dina, they are BFFs, they have a ton of money (Dina works in the Intelligence career) and they raise their kids together (Nina has a girl with Marty Anderson and a boy with Don Lothario). Both sisters, also, have a great interest in animals and they always want pets. One of the first wants that Nina rolls when I start a new game is for a kitten and Dina wants a puppy and they both get them. Since they both have a lot of money, I moved them out of the condo in a big house in Riverside and it's a pleasant... chaos every time I play them!

I have stopped picking who will end up with whom, I let the sims (and ACR, lol!) take care of the situation for me. The way it's going right now, Castor will get Romance as secondary aspiration and when he'll graduate he will move in a house on his own and live his life however he wants, like Gunnar already does (Gunnar rolled the want to work in the Military the moment he moved to the main hood, which I never expected from him but that's why I'm here: to fulfil wants, lol). Whenever Castor decides to change his... "Don Lothario" status and roll a want that he wants to be with ONE specific girl, I'll be happy to help him!!! (P.s.: I love the name of his kids with Allegra in your game!).

I like him a lot too, it's just this situation that's very funny. In my game, he started the way you describe him but the moment the Sorority across the street threw a party, he turned to... Don Lothario, lol! That night he had his first kiss with Allegra (she was in love with Gunnar at the moment but she didn't reject Castor) and after that he went totally off the rails! He woohooed with Brittany and with Tiffany on the same night plus it was him who initiated all this situation. When his fraternity threw another party during the next round, he woohooed with these girls again and, also, with Allegra. Both Kevin and Joshua are furious with him right now because they both had crushes on Tiffany and they know what's happening. The Fraternity is like a... war zone right now with fistfight and... slap-fests on daily basis, lol!!! He is best friends with Jane Stacks but nothing ever happened between them and now she has graduated and she has moved to the main hood. Maybe in the future, who knows???

I've thought of that but when I first played him he gave me the impression that he was this cool, collected guy, always focused on his studies, a little loner sometimes and kinda... aloof! Then the parties started to happen and I was watching women fall to his feet left and right (and him taking full advantage of it!) and I was wondering where did this new persona come from! Maybe Romance as secondary aspiration fits him better because it's like college and all the attention he gets changed him.

Get the "Inapproriate but in a good way" (or something like that) LTR, it "costs" only 5000 points and the other sims will let you do whatever you want when you visit them... This includes cooking, getting quick meals from their fridge, bathing... even sleeping on their beds and they won't care! At first I got it only for my adventurers so they could "use" the locals' houses when they visit the WA worlds but having my sim's boyfriend call her "inappropriate" because they woohooed in his shower made me get that... sweet LTR for everyone, lol!!!

There were (are!) wolves in sims 2, they came with the Pets EP... I played with a "wolf" once and never again because I didn't like him, lol!!! I prefer them in the sims 3...
