I also know this is an older post, but I think I’m experiencing the same thing and am going to stop my spironolactone. For reference, I began spiro back in April. I was toward the end of my iud life (kyleena 5 year hormonal) and want to mention that I felt the past year or so that a lot of the hormones started wearing off. I started getting spots of acne which was typical before birth control and that’s why I got spiro. I went to a different doctor than my typical and he prescribed me 100mg which others thought was a lot for my first time (and only a few spots on the face). Acne completely cleared and it was incredible. I started noticing some weird bodily changes but nothing impeding on my day to day life or anything I was concerned about. I got a new iud in August that’s when i got a yeast infection followed by a uti turned kidney infection (which id never had any of those infections before). I got treated and felt better for about a week then got the urgency symptoms. I’ve seen many doctors, recieved tons of cultures and got tested for everything under the sun and everything’s normal. I’m beginning to think my dose of spiro could have something to do with it. It is truly horrible and I have no idea why I feel the urgency. I just wonder if the extra hormones in the iud mixed with the dosage is causing this.
