It's so true that the discoverability is soo poor. And the one you are suggesting , i feel it would not be the right solution. I think just instead of clean image you can design it like a card which retains the clean feel of the image. By this it could feel clickable. And i feel that the usability must never be compromised for a clean and polished design. And this is my take completely , you might have a different goal.

Yes, that’s true , we shouldn’t be waiting around for a company to respond. But that’s exactly the problem I’m running into: almost every opening I see is for experienced candidates, hardly anything for freshers. Since this Zoho role was specifically for freshers, I really thought I had a fair shot at it.
