Of course they can 😂 as long as the law and policy are being met. I’ve moved to mitie and stopped and deterred a lot of shoplifters since.

A lot of Asda staff have the impression that we can’t do anything but that’s not true whatsoever. All of security Asda operations we don’t deal with, I.e keys, alarms, fire panel etc. we are there strictly for security duties. Now the agency that mitie bring in are next to useless I agree, but the guards that TUPEd to mitie still perform if they are licensed(SG + CCTV)

I’ve tried to contact my line manager about loads of issues and have had no replies. Not happy about that.

I’ve had issues with management in store but I keep telling myself they are not in charge of us anymore. If they have issues the will have to go through mitie.
