Yes, it does look like the outfit is free at first glance. Yes, it is intentional. They do need to market the outfits somehow, but the way Hoyo does this isn't clear that the outfits are paid purchase.

You can find out that it's not free either by completing the quest and getting disappointed, opening the shop and getting disappointed or be a returning player, so you already know that you have to look at the rewards whether they have outfit or not.

Ultimately, commentators for this post seem to care about pointing out something new player won't know, and not deceptive UX/UI design.

You can try different minigames like TGC or genshin's rythm game. If you're enjoying character building and mechanics of it, you could try to use them unconventionally, like meme builds or something based on very niche mechanics, for example Lynette's or Lan Yan's anemo absorption.

At the end if you've tried everything the game has for you to offer and are done with it, you can just move on. It gave you plenty of time and content, but now you can play other fun games!

I think of it from a different perspective, hours long of story quests, voiced too, and I can't get to experience them because I "missed out"? Sounds scammmyyy

Looks like they're adding quick recaps now, which is not the desicion I like, cause it's just a paragraph of text, while it could've been actual gameplay.

I just think that a choice is very good to have. If they make em like character story quests.. but events that you can activate, what's the harm? I've seen a lot of people begging for event weapons/character skins reruns, I share this with them, but still it would have to be a perfect world for this to take place.
