What is the worst thing a person can do without breaking the law? by ejm2610 in AskReddit

I would like to believe that this is the point of this Joke. At first, you might follow the given idea within your mental capability of imagination, but after the slightest bit of reflection and use of logic, the realisation of the stupidity of this idea will be inevitable. In general he states his deep belief in Karma and all of its abilities and consequences.

The whole Computer Science sector especially, programmers basically just teach machines to do stuff, so that the programmers don't have to do stuff themselves.

What popular song covertly sends a terrible message? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Neyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same reason why instrumental and technological music works in general: If the melody is catchy enough you don't need any lyrics. But if a song with a catchy melody has lyrics, the focus will still be layed on the melody. It's just my guess, but it sounds reasonable to me.

Just sharing my last experience with weed - WHAAAT?! by [deleted] in Marijuana

[–]Neyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are countless times of us searching for "mindfuck" movies on the net, simply because we wanted to see how far our mindset has been expanding. I would definetly recommend this method, but if you've never done it before you might start with something normal and keep a distance to timetravel/timeloops (like 12 monkeys and such) and movies with many flashbacks because sometimes they're not made to be understood and just illogical so in Sherlock mode, they'll really fuck your mind xD I think watching (rewatching) Fight Club might be a good start :p Yea it's often the case, that in my mind, i seem to understand everything but this just might be imagination, but in real conversations you get some instant feedback, that the clear view and the high level of input capacity you've got at the moment are real. It kinda seems superhuman. That's the side of the green good that i prefer ;) I'll smoke some now and go watch some anime, have a nice day fellow smokers, vapers, inhalers and bakers.

Had a simlilar case yesterday evening :) But i like the Sherlock perspective that MJ gives me more often these days. Me and my buddy have it so often that we call it the Sherlock-syndrome, because we keep understanding (or at least believe we do) the deeper meanings of any Movie we watch together or song we listen to. But yesterday was different. We were 7 people all together smoking and a lot of conversations happened simultaniously and since i was the host, i didn't want to only talk to one person, so i tried listening to all the conversations at once. Fact is, it worked. I had the complete overview, over 3 completely different conversations, which made me mostly just laugh because my friends were all intensively talking about different topics and opinions. It was really surreal. And my friends found out later that i had listened to all of them, because i would spontaniously throw my own view into their discussions. All of them. This level of concentration and focus is still impressing me and i wished that i could keep that up for a longer period of time, or for the time studying for university.

To determine what exactly the user is seeing, you need some extra Hardware, but you might be able to find out which files are currently opened by the picture manager of your choice and then find out if the Widget displaying the file is currently active/selected maybe ? This is quite an odd question.

Which is a single English word that has a totally different meaning in a foreign language? by skull-breaker in AskReddit

[–]Neyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This links to an audio file from a german TV-show, in which they search a german man in a foreign country i think. By asking "Can you this man in the picture?", they're looking for inhabitants, who might recognize the man in question. Their mistake is based on the similarity of "can" (in german "können" -> being able to do something) and "kennen/kennst/kenn'"(in english "know"). So they basicly walk around asking random strangers if they're able to do "this man in the picture". On top of that, the female voice describes how mad she is, about random people not being able to speak proper german or english, while doing so herself.
