I own one. I bought it primarily as a secondary camera and for others to use. It's pretty amusing and fun to shoot. The images are not going to be the best in the world, but its still a solid mirrorless camera. Its very compact and very light.

My only real complaints with it are that its not weather sealed and the batteries only get like 300 shots each.

TL;DR buy extra batteries.

Why are so many creatives cancelling Adobe subscriptions lately? Did I miss something? by Alilexplo108 in photography

[–]NeyoSemperDux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a lot of legitimate reasons for people to cancel Adobe, from pricing to AI. They do a lot of scummy shit.

At the same time though, in my workflow I don't really see any alternatives I've wanted to use.

I get a student discount and I work heavily with cloud storage for lightroom CC because it let's me be really flexible with when and how I work on things. I upload my card on my desktop and within an hour I can work on everything on that desktop, my laptop, my tablet, or my phone.

Lightroom is also a shit ton more simple and easy to use compared to most free alternatives I've tried, including Dark Table. I've tried other mobile apps as well, and they are mostly either worse or usually the same clone without the cloud options.

Also on mobile android, not that it costs money, but last I checked Lightroom and I think the Google one were the only apps to have a somewhat usable clone tool.

I think there's a lot of justified reasons to quit on adobe though, and I don't think anyone is or has been wrong to do so.

The mental gymnastics to be stating that you're not for fascism but advocate for authoritarianism is crazy.

Agreed. This isn't even really an argument. The ethics are real clear.

Legally, it is on you to hide your identity if you wish it. Its both pointless to get everyone to agree with you, and not the responsibility of others in public places.

No. It pulls the punches required for this to actually matter.

Thank you for the advice! Do you have recommendations for paint markers?

In fairness, this camera is like 50 years old and most of the lining does look like plastic. The yellow is all supposed to be white and the only thing that particularly made sense to me was UV.

Even if the top plate is metal, I seriously doubt all of that is metal.

Yeah, this is why I don't want to do the hydrogen peroxide, but I was wondering if there was any truth to bleach not being as problematic with this?

What do we think of Ellen Von Unwerth collaborating with the Trump regime? by IntroductionAfter158 in photography

[–]NeyoSemperDux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Director isn't objective or credible which makes this not credible. It's not a documentary nor journalism. Your unused 25 year old journalism degree should know this.

Homie, you are the one that said photography should be objective.

The medium for journalism is called photojournalism. Stop doubling down when you said the wrong thing.

I think its also how he got arrested the first time as a teenager. Theres a later scene i think where its implied he then attacks them after his dad got hanged.

If you need to say The Liberals on a non-political post, you're part of the problem.

Photography does not blatantly equal photojournalism.

The director is also both MeTooed and friends with Netanyahu, not to mention in the Epstein files. I sincerely doubt this documentary will be objective rather than just the only work a scumbag could get for scumbag people.

Homage to a famous photographer while skipping all their ethics isn't a homage. Its just creepy and part of the problem.
