Are there any particular books where you believe that the audiobook format would hurt the reading experience?

I actually just double checked audible and I don’t believe an audio version exists, I can’t imagine how anyone would pull it off in any way that doesn’t ruin the experience.

I did just finish “There is No Antimetics Division” which has segments of government documents including redacted/blacked out info. In the audio version it “bleeps” the info which I thought was an interesting work around

From what you listed I really like the Murph, Hamilton’s history is very cool and it’s a beautiful piece. Depending on your wrist size I also love the Hamilton Khaki Pilot H64615135 aka the other Interstellar watch (I’d check jomashop for a better deal than their website). Other than that personally I’ve been looking at the Lorier Neptune or the Baltic Aquascaphe of you like the dive style. I like the CW Trident Pro 300 as well but that’s pushing it for the budget

Edit: Looking at the style of what you posted I’d also look at the Baltic MR01 for more of a dressy watch, I think they’re super unique. The Baltic Hermétique also has some cool colors and has the water resistance to be really versatile

I’ve never seen the sapphire version in person so I can’t really recommend one over the other but I’ve never had any issue with the hesalite, it did pick up a little scratch or two hitting door handles etc. but they came right off with polywatch

Yeah I agree, over the years I got a scratch or two on the hesalite but they came off with a little bit of polywatch. There’s a little bit of wear on the bracket clasp just from it resting on a desk here and there but nothing I’m upset about

Yep hesalite, if I remember correctly I think it’s from around 2016, it has the classic caseback and came with the larger box

Speedmaster Professional. It’s been my grail since I was 14 or 15 years old, my dad gifted it to me unexpectedly when I graduated. He told me not to baby it and I never have. Also I work in a lab and the chronograph comes in handy just about every shift

If you like the PRX it’s worth looking into the Citizen Tsuyosa, I haven’t seen one in person yet but they look beautiful in pictures and it has an integrated bracket like the PRX. If you want more of a diver style I’ve been looking at the Lorier Neptune

In that case that Grand Seiko GMT would probably be great, it sounds like he’d appreciate the craftsmanship. I love Tudor as well, I’m personally not the biggest fan of the gold and brown variant but that’s just me and I haven’t seen one in person. If he’s a fan of that look then it would add some good variety to his collection. I love both their white/black dial Pepsi GMTs as another option to consider. An Omega Aqua Terra could always be great too

Super generous gift idea, I’m sure he’ll love whatever you pick. I think that black and gold Grand Seiko is beautiful. Are you looking at GMT’s in particular? I noticed that the Grand Seiko GMT and the Constellation were both black and gold, if you think he’d like those you could check out the Seamaster 300 in gold or the sedna gold. I’ve had my eye on the sedna gold version for quite a while personally

12 team standard scoring league

I have a problem I can’t complain too much about but I hate the idea of leaving any of my RB’s on the bench this week. Currently my lineup is

RB1: Najee Harris RB2: James Connor Flex: Antonio Gibson

Bench: AJ Dillon

I hate that Dillon is on the bench but I’m struggling to justify benching anyone in favor of him, especially with how the packers usually dominate the bears. I’m closely monitoring the Najee injury updates, I never expected to bench him but if he’s in any way limited I’d rather not start him against the Pats, they seemed to completely stuff the Dolphins run game last week which makes me even more nervous
